Down goes another one

So, AIC hasn't played since January 30.   Six weeks.   I'd love to face them in any game.  (Penn State got waxed by Notre Dame after a long layoff too.)

Or maybe the other AHA teams will fail protocols and they can get the autobid without firing a shot.

Boy, this would be the first time I could ever remember SCSU being the higher seed and having a big time skill advantage and blowing it in the post season.....

The high water mark of the Haviland era?

Bottom line: CC needs better players and it’s clear that with the occasional skill player, they aren’t able to recruit the kind of talent necessary to compete with the likes of the top teams.

Owens was able to get those skilled players. Sure things got a bit low towards the end of Owens’ tenure but CC had some highly entertaining teams back then. I hope the new rink will help. How much rope does Haviland get?

That’s just it. He’s gotten so much rope as it is. Three seasons ago, the former AD gave him a huge contract extension (some say, making him the highest paid coach in the NCHC) after finishing 15-17, his best season in his tenure.
