Only catholic nicotine addicts and Johnboy care about scheduling Notre Dame.

but according to stoneysioux we've only played them 3 times...never been in the same conference for 10 years and we didn't play them few years back at the ralph and had more people at that hockey game than did the mighty bizon at their first home playoff football game in 20 years?

Stoney said 30 times, not 3. We could've played anyone that weekend and out-drawn that fb game.

Buddy, it was a typo, which I corrected lol. You thinking ND is a UND rival and would drive attendance is comical and using it to say we should switch to the Big10 is even funnier.

SIOUX NOTES: Tonight's game drew 11,742 fans, meaning both games were sold out even though UND students are gone on holiday break . . . Frattin led the Sioux in shots on goal with seven, followed by Danny Kristo (Eden Prairie,, Minn.) with six and Evan Trupp (Anchorage, Alaska) with five . . . Trupp was stopped by Johnson on a clean breakaway four minutes into the third period and UND leading 2-1 . . . UND had a 31-25 edge in faceoff wins, paced by Corban Knight (High River, Alberta), who won 12 of 18.

All you're doing is confirming that a winning team draws a bigger crowd and a team that missed the playoffs 2 years in a row is going to see a dip.

Yeah, all the students were at home, in Grand Forks, and going with their families to watch a team that was dominant and wasn't coming off of 2 years missing the NCAA. Also, 2010 didn't have 75" LED TVs at home. That team drew because they won. Not because of Notre Dame.

Also, was this announced attendance versus butts in seats? What was the announced attendance last night? Do you have pictures to compare?

No. They traveled to watch a UND team that hadn't missed the playoffs in about 10 years.

You're comparing to 2010-11?!?! Literally one of the most dominant, fun to watch Sioux hockey teams of all time.... until they Hak'd up the frozen four of course.

Annnnd... then saying that Notre Dame is the reason people came to that game... and because Notre Dame was the reason that fans came to that game is why UND should leave the NCHC for the Big 10 and that's a way we could potentially fix our attendance "problem".

reason?  if that game is canisius you get 7, 8, or 9K...Notre Dame you get 12K.
