Is it disrespectful? Yes.

On a scale of 1 to 10? Point 5

I tend to agree with you. The only thing I'd say is, I'm confident that UND fans don't do it out of malice.  Plus, I took issue with the guy cherry picking and singling North Dakota out when stuff like that occurs at a lot of places, including CC.

So it is very close among the top three, just as I would have suspected. Thanks for the clarification.

Here's another very good way of looking at the strengths of conferences.  The following is the current KRACH SOS ranking:

1.  Duluth

2.  North Dakota

3.  Denver

4.  Miami

5.  SCSU

6.  CC

7.  Western Michigan

8.  Providence

9. BU

10.  Vermont

The reason for that total dominance is pretty obvious.   Can't imagine why the B1G is a no-show.

The newest PWR includes 3 teams from the Big Ten among the top 10 and 2* from the NCHC. This is a fact, not my opinion.

http://www.uscho.com/rankings/pairwise-rankings/d-i-men/

*To be fair, the 2 NCHC teams in the top 10 are literally 1 and 2. But still... 3 > 2.

I think your counting is a bit off.
From the link you provided above, I show 3 NCHC teams and 3 Big Ten teams.

1 Minnesota-Duluth 59 15-5-4 .7083 5 .6002 1
2 Denver 58 16-6-4 .6923 6 .5960 2
3 Boston University 57 16-5-2 .7391 3 .5919* 3
4 Penn State 56 16-3-2 .8095 1 .5893* 4
5 Western Michigan 55 13-6-3 .6591 12 .5720 5
6 Union 54 17-5-2 .7500 2 .5702* 6
7 Minnesota 53 14-6-2 .6818 8t .5639 7
8 Ohio State 52 12-4-6 .6818 8t .5636* 8
9 Vermont 51 16-7-2 .6800 10 .5618 9
10 Massachusetts-Lowell 50 15-7-3 .6600 11 .5598* 10

UMD (1), DU (2), and WMU (5) for NCHC.
PSU (4), UMN (7), and OSU (8) for B10.

3=3
So your post wasn't really fact at all...nor opinion.  It was just plain incorrect.  :)

Penn State's loss hurt them.

That all may be true but...

Just because a mediocre team has a tough schedule, that doesn't make them any less mediocre. At the same time a great team is still a great team even if their schedule isn't all that tough.

That's kind of silly. How do you know a team is great if they're not playing against other top teams?

I'm still trying to figure out why the B1G's SOS is so weak.  I mean, I know they play each other more than anyone else but . . .  wait . . . .
