if both stick and mr trey would give up the idea that they are nfl talent there is a league up north that they could've "grown" with (like warren moon)...and then try to come to the nfl....too late for the mouth breather but mr trey is probably only 24 but he would have stick his tail bt his legs and move to saskatoon or prince edward island...which he aint doing.

You wouldn’t go CFL either and give up $34M for first 4 years and $2M for 2025.  Why would anyone do that?

for the love of the game...some guys love holding the clipboard...some love to hold the pigskin.  ask warren moon if it was worth it ...or even kurt warner

agreed about the first four years...i see he's getting 6 million from the Chargers this year (thought he was still with the cowgirls)....holy god some of these franchises....Jerry Jones got what out of that trade and what the heck to the Chargers think they are getting with Mr Trey that 2 other teams have already kicked aside.

(i see the pick they (cowgirls) traded for mr trey ended up being malik mustapha)....nice one mr jones...jfc

And it isn't just cow college, as I'd say they are an outlier. SDSU is outlier territory too. So let's look at some of the other peers.

USD has had 2 drafted and 3 signed in the past 5 years. = 5 total

UNI has had 5 drafted and 5 more signed in the past 5. = 10 total

MSU has had 2 drafted and 3 more signed in the past 5 = 5 total

Griz has had 1 drafted and 3 more signed in the past 5. =  4 total

UND has had 1 drafted and 3 more signed in the past 5. = 4 total (the AI tool I used for this lists Waletzko, Maag, Noah Larson, and Jaxson Turner all drafted for signed. Did Tov never actually sign I suppose? Otherwise that'd be 1+4=5 total.)

Doesn't look all that bad actually.

I didn't follow spring ball coverage whatsoever. I recall Romfo was recovering so he hasnt been playing, but how is the new transfer from San Diego State U doing? Also, curious why it is dumb that Tom said that. Is there a clear 1-2 race or clear #1 in your opinion. Genuinely asking since I have no clue as of right now other than Romfo having a low D3 arm at best.

if simon starts the first home game at the alerus there will be fewer than 5k people out there....

if miller was honest...it's a 3 man race

it's the 3 j's out there and that's it...anyone of them could be qb1 come fall

Gotcha. So Jerry, the SDSU transfer and who's the 3rd?

Did you just really say that ;)

did u read your own post about a lack of draftable talent the last ten years at und....then proceed to mention the position that we have had either average (tommy) ot below below average (simon) talent for about the last 6 years it seems....and instead of being mad at bubba like you should be you say that simon starting in front of jerry was proof that i don't know talent when i see it....welp can't help ya then.

why simon started in front of jerry last year is still a puzzling thing..either bubba or fuckte ...we will find out ....again.

If Simon starts the first game next year it will be because Schmidt and Fruechte decided he gives them the best chance to win. It won’t change attendance.
I have found Miller has always been honest. The fact that you don’t agree has nothing to do with his honesty.

Yep. Miller seemed to think Romfo had a good shot last year and ended up winning the job. Now he thinks it will likely be Kaminski or JTJ.

attendance won't change you say?

have you been paying attention to the apathy that is setting in on the football side

another year of the romfo experiment might be the death of und football

and if miller was honest he would have analyzed the hell out of the pass that simon almost threw into the stands in ames when demontacac totally beat his man for the easist td ever...instead he/heraldo went full bob eucker

Something tells me that Romfo won't win the job in an open competition.

Makes sense. That’s his honest opinion.

Good competition will make each QB better, hope they all get along

a player is one injury away from getting in or out of a game

You obviously didn’t play 9 man did you?

If you are apathetic about the FB program, it doesn’t matter cuz you don’t play or coach. There is a lot of energy and developing confidence among the players and coaches moving forward. I believe most fans are excited to see what Schmidt and his staff can accomplish with these players. They are getting commitments from some promising recruits. We still have some key positions we need to improve on.

I believe Miller is correct in that the QB will likely be JTJ or Kaminski. Sulik shows promise. Simon has the disadvantage of missing spring ball.  I stand by my statement that Schmidt and Fruechte will start whomever they believe gives them the best chance of winning. Who cares how he described an incomplete pass last year? If you watched the game you could see for yourself what happened. If you need to read criticism of our athletes and coaches you don’t have to read the herald. Just log on to SS.com.
