jdub27 Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Nice article about Portland state and their coach. He applied to be UND coach.http://portlandtribune.com/pt/12-sports/274997-149592-vikings-coach-likes-what-foe-is-doingThis guy is quickly becoming my favorite opposing coach (up there with Kramer from Idaho State).Going into the 2014 season, Barnum — then PSU’s offensive coordinator — interviewed to be UND’s head coach. “My wife looked at me and said, ‘North what?’ I told her, ‘Honey, I’ll get you a swimming pool,’ ” Barnum says.“Met him at the Big Sky Conference meetings (this year). Helluva guy. Love him,” Barnum says. “He’d been there. He knew the place. He’s a Midwestern guy, a flatlander. They picked the right guy. They would have said, ‘Barney who?’ As an offensive coordinator, “I used to throw flea-flickers from our own 1-yard line. I wanted to score every time we had the ball; that was my role as a coach then. But that’s not my world now. I need to manage all three pieces of the game and walk away after 60 minutes with more points than you.” Though, as previously stated, he does love to sandbag...“They’re a good team.” Barnum says. “You can see why on film we’re not picked to win.” Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 From SFI PSU Preview:We’ve heard but not been able to confirm a significant injury on the UND defense that was sustained in practice this week. Who it was and how significant remains to be seen. Quote
Matt Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Im looking at matchups in this game and a question comes to my mind: Do I believe the UND offense would be better able to put up points against the PSU defense than Washington State? 1 Quote

PSU kept it close, recovered a muffed punt, kind of a weird game compared to UND handling Wyoming. I think WSU outgained PSU by 100 yards. Quote
bang Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Some A$$h%le decided to get married this weekend, so I won't be able to stream the game. I'll be leaning on you guys for periodic updates. I'd really appreciate it. Quote
siouxfan512 Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 Significant injury to the D? I can only think Reyes or Ratelle. Hopefully I'm wrong, and hopefully whoever is injured isn't out too long. Quote
bang Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 I think it would be tough to keep an injury to Ratelle or Reyes under wraps. People would really be talking around campus. Maybe that's just me wanting things to go our way. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 I thought I saw Greely in a boot earlier this week but not sure if it was him. Quote
ClassB Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 My sources are saying greely, but collarbone. Quote
homer Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 My sources are saying greely, but collarbone.Tough that it happened at practice. Does Correthers move back out from nose guard to his natural position? Are Tank Harris and Greer ready to handle all the snaps at Nose Guard or is Woodsmall ready to start getting more reps? Quote
ClassB Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 My first thought was carrothers to end again, but there was some talk of Noah johnson jumping in ? Quote
sioux24/7 Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 My sources are saying greely, but collarbone. You might be right now that you say that I think he might have had a sling on not a boot. Quote
siouxfan512 Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 You might be right now that you say that I think he might have had a sling on not a boot. Its ok, slings and boots are really easy to mix up Quote
sioux24/7 Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 (edited) Its ok, slings and boots are really easy to mix up haha I just remember seeing him and then forgot about it until the news of a defensive injury. Edited October 2, 2015 by sioux24/7 1 Quote
siouxfan512 Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 haha I just remember seeing him and then forgot about it until the need of a defensive injury. Just giving you a hard time. Don't want to see any injuries, but glad it isn't Ratelle or Reyes. Quote
