These are the actual student fees as reported by each school's web site (with links to the pages for verification). It appears that NDSU students are already paying more in student fees overall than either UND or UNI, the Athletic Department just may not be getting as much. USD students seem to be getting the short end of the stick. I didn't post UNO's because they list every fee separately, but don't give enough explanation for all of them to know which need to be included for this discussion. Actually the fees listed above are only the mandatory fees. There are additional course and program fees. I would expect the mandatory fees to be relatively equal. Obviously there will be much different course and program fees depending on the program.

Just signed up to post that? Sensitive issue in your world. Examples of costs supported by student fees include Student Government, Student Health, Bonds, Technology, Wellness, Memorial Union, Career Services, Substance Abuse Prevention Programming, Multicultural Student Services, Athletics, Student Success Center and the Judicial/Crisis Team. lawkota
Here's apples to apples: NDSU Tuition and mandatory fees - $7,978 UND Tuition and mandatory fees - $7,965 NDSU Basic Housing/Meals - $7,502 UND Basic Housing/Meals - $7,454 Both schools have program fees and course fees for different programs and classes. Of course they change year to year depending on where/who you are playing, but they don't just randomly go from $1.4 million (budgeted) to just short of $4 million (projected) in 3 years. Also, the WSB gets travel offsets from the big schools to come play those games, they don't foot the whole bill.

But the SL is cheaper than the Big Sky since they can bus it to most of the teams (common Bison fan excuse not to join the BSC). So now travel expenses are a problem. When was the last time NDSU started the baseball/softball season at home and not a 20-30 game road trip? It happens every year to all teams up here. It's called winter and it messes with the baseball/softball schedule every year so that's why home games are roughly 2 months after opening day. These NDSU claims are false, as is proven by comparing the rates shown on each school's individual web site.
