Wilbur Posted yesterday at 01:20 AM Posted yesterday at 01:20 AM For years I was told that putting the ball in play and singling teams to death wasn't winning baseball.... Quote
sioux rube Posted yesterday at 02:31 AM Posted yesterday at 02:31 AM 13 more runs tonight beating Boston 13-6. Yes I’m stunned. Nobody wake them up Quote
sioux rube Posted yesterday at 03:11 PM Posted yesterday at 03:11 PM From Dan Hayes’ column today in The Athletic - So, what’s their secret? Apparently, they enjoy each other’s company. “This group really likes each other,” Twins manager Derek Shelton said. “Not that that matters, but it does matter. It’s a tight-knit group. … The first night in Baltimore, 16 guys, 17 guys at dinner. Team dinner the next night. Buck rents a room the next night. This group enjoys being around each other. And I think the one thing about it is they all understand their roles.” ———————- And from our Captain, what a leader and a legend; he’s rapidly moving up my favorite Twins list - “We chill,” Buxton said. “We come to play baseball. We focus on ourselves. The one big thing I told them in spring training is, ‘The only thing that matters is who is in this clubhouse.’ Once you believe in that and you understand, day in and day out, this is the brotherhood, this is a family, it starts becoming reality for us. Spring training was kind of that feel and touch era. Now, it’s more get after it.” Quote
SIOUXFAN97 Posted yesterday at 03:55 PM Posted yesterday at 03:55 PM so who was in the wrong...pohlad's kid or the woman with the hat that says sell the team confronting him in the stands infront of his kids? Quote

Stagnant baseball, and the only aggressiveness we saw was getting pitchers out of the game as early as possible. Watching them just peck away at teams and make some pretty good pitchers look average has been refreshing. 1 Quote

They keep it up and are still relevant come June I just may get to Target Field for a series Quote
Wilbur Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago And again....we head to the 9th inning ahead 6-0. Chris Atteberry noted that the Twins have hit and run more this year then they did all of last year. Quote
