InHeavenThereIsNoBeer Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Not all that unrealistic of a scenario...winter hat to the rink replaced with a baseball hat during the game. Do you wear baseball hats under your winter hats? Never done that so it would be pretty unrealistic for me. Quote
MafiaMan Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Do you wear baseball hats under your winter hats? Never done that so it would be pretty unrealistic for me. LOL, no. I carry it into the rink. The winter hat keeps the chrome dome warm. Quote

Dave Berger Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 A related question: which current North Dakota player will be the next to join the Hat Trick Club? I think Drake Caggiula is the obvious answer, but after that, who is it? Michael Parks? Nick Schmaltz? Luke Johnson? Dave Quote
Siouxman Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I thought Sykes had a hat trick in the national championship game in '82 Correct on that one. I remember the game. Quote

fargosioux Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 After OD's hat trick, I went to the Sioux Shop to get 33% off a new hat. Went to check out and was told the NCAA made them stop that promotion. Apparently it promotes an individual player, which is against their rules. Quote

Apparently it promotes an individual player, which is against their rules. Same here. Although, I was only buying a youth hat for my six month old son. As far as throwing them on the ice, I contemplated it with OD's, but all I have are Sioux logo ones, and I'm not taking the chance of not getting it back. My wife and I were present for Frattin and Gregoire's Hat Tricks in 2011, the Ralph was crazy loud that night. Quote
GDPritch Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Don't have the list .....but Ben Cherski has the most (17).17?! Wowza, that's absolutely incredible when you consider a college hockey career only lasts 4 seasons! Quote

How can they manage what a private business does for a promotion? But we all know about them overstepping their bounds I guess:/ Quote
