Do you wear baseball hats under your winter hats? Never done that so it would be pretty unrealistic for me.

LOL, no. I carry it into the rink. The winter hat keeps the chrome dome warm.

A related question: which current North Dakota player will be the next to join the Hat Trick Club?

I think Drake Caggiula is the obvious answer, but after that, who is it? Michael Parks? Nick Schmaltz? Luke Johnson?

A couple more to add to the list.

Rastislav Spirko against Michigan Tech 05-06 season.

TJ Oshie had 3 career hat tricks....the last was against Michigan in 2007 in the West Regional tournament.

After OD's hat trick, I went to the Sioux Shop to get 33% off a new hat. Went to check out and was told the NCAA made them stop that promotion. Apparently it promotes an individual player, which is against their rules.

Once again.....NCAA sucks.

Same here.  Although, I was only buying a youth hat for my six month old son.  As far as throwing them on the ice, I contemplated it with OD's, but all I have are Sioux logo ones, and I'm not taking the chance of not getting it back.  My wife and I were present for Frattin and Gregoire's Hat Tricks in 2011, the Ralph was crazy loud that night.

From the 1998-1999 season:

Lee Goren at St Cloud in a 7-4 win:

http://www.uscho.com/box/mens-hockey/1998/11/28/north-dakota-vs-st-cloud-state/

Jeff Panzer's 4-goal, 5-point night against the Gophers (5-4W)

http://www.uscho.com/box/mens-hockey/1999/01/22/minnesota-vs-north-dakota/

(Followed famously by a 3-goal rally the next night to win 6-5.)

Lee Goren vs Denver in an 11-4 win:

As an added bonus, no hat tricks but the box score from perhaps my favorite game that season, a 4-3 win at Duluth.

* Game tying goal at 19:36 Jay Penzer from Dave Hoogsteen and Trevor Hammer with the goalie pulled

* Game winning goal at 19:58 Adam Calder from Jason Blake

Two more from 1999-2000 ...

Lee Goren again in a 5-0 win at Tech:

Jason Ulmer - came up clutch in game 3 of WCHA playoffs at the old Ralph vs Denver, which was a nailbiter of a series, but we won 9-4.   This was mentioned above by The Sicatoka.    But its worth mentioning again.  :)

(A late night drive back to work the next morning in the Twin Cities, but definitely had adrenalin going that night.)

That sounds like the ncaa is reaching pretty far. How can they manage what a private business does for a promotion? But we all know about them overstepping their bounds I guess:/
