farce poobah
Interesting question, how many team ranked #1 in the nation will be in the twin cities next weekend? UND, Mankato, Michigan Tech, am I missing any? The top three in the PWR will be there UND, Mankato, and Denver. Here's hoping that all 3 don't get sent to Fargo the next week. Go Redskins
What time is the wmu Miami game? Is it on tv? 7:00 No tv, just our crap camera on the nchc feed.
808287
So.... If WMU wins tonight and next weekend, and gets the autobid, will there be still be 6 NCHC teams in the top 14? And thereby 7 in the tourney?
DrunkHockeyGuy
You have to think Blais will be fired before the tournament begins, with the way his team has collapsed down the stretch. Sandelin could be gone too. Maybe gfhockey can get them jobs running errands on the patch. I wonder if they know how to drive stick shifts. Stick to the yearly screaming of firing your own coach and don't try to pretend you have a clue what's going on in Duluth. Sandelin isn't going anywhere

squirtcoach
Yeah it was probably sarcasm but oh well. Annoying times in Duluth Duluth will be traveling out east as a #2 seed with two weeks rest, instead of a #1 or 2 seed with games against the best teams in the country this weekend. Annoying perhaps, but a pretty good place to start for a run at the title.
InHeavenThereIsNoBeer
Are you old enough to remember the decade in between the national championship seasons of 1987 and 1997? Some pretty lean years there. Not any one season anywhere near as bad as 4-24-4 but I believe only 1 NCAA appearance if I remember correctly. Sioux fans didn't burn GF to the ground, they merely shifted their focus more to the up-and-coming football program. It was not at all difficult to get Sioux hockey tickets during most of those years. The years between 87 and 97 are nowhere near 4-25-5 so can't really compare. Also, twitter wasn't around allowing people to assemble quickly for the purposes of destroying a town

They just didn't have the whole roster, though, including goaltending88-92: great talent, great expectations, and more disappointing results each year in that strech. 1991-1992 was pretty abysmal and REA had maybe 2,500-3,000 fans in attendance on any given night. Watch Western upset Miami today and we'll see two NCAA tournament-bound teams resting up and getting healthy.

Mariucci
St. Cloud just shot up to 11th in the pairwise. NCHC teams currently hold 1,3,6,7,8,11 in pairwise Now they slipped back to 13th.

MafiaMan
Don't you know the rules around here? Never ever give the Gophers credit for anything and always try to find the chink in the armor, magnifying it while ignoring their good point, if one even exists. Fixed! Imagine that team with senior Shayne Gostisbehere playing...
