gfhockey Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 The vote is coming up next week to forward our findings to faison Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Don't quote me but I am hearing rumblings of Jer Garman at starting tailback. Hmmm? We shall see. Kudos. You were correct Quote
Hambone Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Carter is backup CB - Tillman and Brown starting. Neither JUCO transfer is in two deep William James starting safety with Reyes - Baylee Carr and Josiah Montague backups Colton Boas starting Center Garman starting RB with Simmons as backup Quote
Teeder11 Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Kudos. You were correct Might be a good ol' boy before you know it! Quote
Hambone Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Also, after almost leaving team, appears Taj Rich is starting WIL. Quote
UNDColorado Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Also, after almost leaving team, appears Taj Rich is starting WIL. I am very interested to see how he performs. Seemed to have talent but we never really got to see it on the field. Quote

Neither JUCO transfer is in two deep William James starting safety with Reyes - Baylee Carr and Josiah Montague backups Colton Boas starting Center Garman starting RB with Simmons as backup Given how much last year's secondary struggled, and all the new players added in the offseason, is anybody else a bit surprised that last year's fourth or fifth corner is starting this year? Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Given how much last year's secondary struggled, is anybody else a bit surprised that last year's fourth or fifth corner is starting this year?It is a bit surprising, but there's no question last year's coaches had issues either evaluating talent or simply playing the most talented players. For example, Shaugabay and Garman should've played more on offense and Javen Butler and Taj Rich never saw time on the defense like they possibly should've. So who knows, maybe Chris Brown is better at the CB spot than we think. Nevertheless, it's also surprising that Maverick Edmunds beat out the JUCO transfer CBs. Quote
gfhockey Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Simmons is a shocker. Emergency meeting is going to happen. Expect Simmons to get most Carey's tho Quote

So who knows, maybe Chris Brown is better at the CB spot than we think. Nevertheless, it's also surprising that Maverick Edmunds beat out the JUCO transfer CBs. That was the most surprising thing to me. However, maybe the two JUCO DBs are having trouble digesting the playbook and are going to be brought along a little more slowly. Wonder if it's possible that Flowers (or Blackmon for that matter) could redshirt? Quote
Hambone Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Also, out of all the JUCOs we were bringing in, I'm surprised only one is going to be starting (and if Bakker isn't in two deep, then non of them are even on the two deep). Quote

Also James is gonna kill people this year. He's busted his ass and can HIT. Quote
