MafiaMan Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 4:00 left...given the success of Sweden and Finland, I wonder why Norway hasn't seen better results in hockey. Quote
cberkas Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Sweden will play Finland, I think the announcers are making a bigger deal of playing Raty and Finland then there is. Russia would be the team to avoid in woman hockey. Canada wins 3-1, Norway's goalie kept them in it. Quote
Ray77 Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 Toews wearing #16 while Bouwmeester is wearing #19...interesting. Quote
MafiaMan Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Have to say that I agree with Milbury and Roenick...approximately 2:00 left and you go on the PP...down 3-1...why wouldn't you pull the goalie, Norway? Quote

SiouxScore Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Have to say that I agree with Milbury and Roenick...approximately 2:00 left and you go on the PP...down 3-1...why wouldn't you pull the goalie, Norway? Yeah didn't understand that either. I know goal differential is a tiebreaker but nobody gets eliminated during pool play and I doubt Norway will be in a spot where the tiebreaker will matter anyway. Take the chance try to cut the lead to one and give yourself a chance to really pull a surprise. As Herm Edwards said "You play to win the game" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W42iiCcFbxE Quote
Oxbow6 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I thought Oshie played very very well. Parise was solid. Toews was his normal self playing extemely well in all phases. Quote
keikla Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 4:00 left...given the success of Sweden and Finland, I wonder why Norway hasn't seen better results in hockey. I think they're too busy dominating in all the cross-country/biathlon races. Sweden will play Finland, I think the announcers are making a bigger deal of playing Raty and Finland then there is. Russia would be the team to avoid in woman hockey. Canada wins 3-1, Norway's goalie kept them in it. Finland only lost to the USA and Canada 3-1 and 3-0, respectively, in games that were closer than the score indicates. Noora Raty definitely has the ability to steal games. I'm not saying they'll do it, but if anyone can pull off an upset, my money is on Finland. Quote
MafiaMan Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Goal differential. What is this, China vs South Korea in the shuttlecock event? You had to beat Germany just to advance to the Olympics, shouldn't you go out and actually try to win it? Heaven forbid you pot a goal and make it 3-2. You're two goals away from being in a tie with Canada, not playing in some exhibition throw-away game against Denmark. Quote
Fetch Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Man when u read the comments on some of the Olympic sites you would think were about to go to war with the canucks Quote
cberkas Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 0-0 after 2 between Switzerland and Sweden. Quote
cberkas Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Sweden wins 1-0. Switzerland looked really good, Switzerland played their backup goalie. Sweden also looked very beatable. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Sweden also looked very beatable. Haven't the RedWings been tagged "Team Sweden" this season? Detroit's also been very beatable this year. Quote
cberkas Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Haven't the RedWings been tagged "Team Sweden" this season? Detroit's also been very beatable this year. If Jonas Hiller played against Sweden maybe Switzerland gets the win. Czech Republic beats Latvia 4-2 Quote
cberkas Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Canada leading Austria 1-0 Toews with the assist. Finland leading Norway 2-0. Quote
cberkas Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Carter with a natural hat trick for Canada Toews with an assist , 5-0 Canada. Edit: Assist was changed to Weber and Marleau, Toews with only one assist. Canada stopped on the penalty shot. Finland up 5-0 Quote
andtheHomeoftheSIOUX!! Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Two blow outs now. Wouldn't mind seeing upset sometime this tournament. Quote
