FSSD Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Big game today UND vs NAU, UND is tied for 3rd place in conference with only 4 games left (@UNC, @PSU, @ EWU, and SUU). NAU is fighting for the last playoff spot with UNC and PSU. A win today by UND and they get a little breathing room and a loss means that they will need to win one on the road. It is a FCS TV game, but I hope that they get a good crowd to support the team today. Huff has been playing great. If Brekke plays today, I think they have a good chance to win. It would be nice to see Schuler back in the rotation. I don’t think UND has played with a complete team all year (Huff, Brekke, Schuler and Archer all with extended injuries). Conference Standings: Montana * 14-1 Weber State * 13-2 North Dakota 8-7 Southern Utah 8-7 Sacramento State 7-8 Montana State 7-8 Northern Arizona 6-9 Northern Colorado 6-9 Eastern Washington 5-9 Portland State 4-11 Idaho State 4-11 Other Conference Games: SUU (8-7) @ EWU (5-9) Montana (14-1) @ ISU (4-11) MSU (7-8) @ WSU (13-2) Sac St (7-8) @ UNC (6-9) I am picking UND, SUU, Montana, Weber St and UNC.. UNC is fighting for playoff lives. 1 Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 I expect UND to win, they know how important this game is to them and they will play like it. Huff, Webb and Anderson have huge games and they will win by about 10. 1 Quote
FSSD Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 I think Huff has really elevated his game. I have been impressed with the step forward this year. Webb and Anderson have been hot and cold all year. UND needs Webb in the game at the end but can you afford it with his FT shooting. Quote
petey23 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Channel 626 on directfv today for those who can't make it in person. Quote
jodcon Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 UND should be in good shape because they are done with Montana and Weber and others still have to play them, staying in the top 6 would give them a winnable first round game avoiding UM and WSU, if they could pull out 3rd they would have a really good shot at the semis. Time for a nice stretch run. 1 Quote
Smoggy Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Brekke in a boot. Hearing for a while. Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Brekke in a boot. Hearing for a while. Dear Lord. This program is beyond cursed when it comes to injuries. Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Benton having a nice first half, with six points so far. Quote
andtheHomeoftheSIOUX!! Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 UND up 31-30 at the half. good deal Quote
Teeder11 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 NAU coach chewed out the ref for two full minutes. Thought he could havebeen teed up but stripes let him vent. He must have got in stripes ear as a couple of iffy calls went NAU's way late in first half. Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Huff with four quick points to start the second half. UND up by 5. Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 UND now down 41-37. Terrible 3-point shooting so far. Quote
UNDvince97-01 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Brekke in a boot. Hearing for a while. I fear that this team has no shot to make a run in the BSC Tourney without him. Even with him, his constant inability to stay out of foul trouble is concerning at minimum. Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Huff really carrying UND so far. UND up 3. Quote
Teeder11 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 UND was down 10 at one point in first half. Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Huff has passed Evan Lindahl and Hunter Reinke on the all-time scoring list today. Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 UND really needs Anderson or Webb to step up offensively. Besides Huff, only Wilmer is doing anything in the second half. Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 And right on cue, Anderson hits a 3 and gets fouled! Four point play! Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 UND has the ball and is down 58-57 with 3:51 to go. Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Webb with the finish! Free throw attempt forthcoming. Quote
