sultan Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Big Sky has 4 teams in the top 20 this week in the coaches poll. MVFC has 3 teams in the top 20 this week. The Big Sky has to be the toughest conference this year. Quote

Siouxperfan7 Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 #2 MSU, #6 EWU, #14 Cal Poly, #18 N. Arizona. UND has all 4 of these teams in a 5 week span. Oh, and the fifth is 18 time conference champion Montana!! I would argue that UND has not only the toughest schedule in the conference...but one of the toughest in the country! In these 5 games for sure! 1 Quote
sultan Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 And the CAA has 5 of the top 22. Trumped. I didn't realize that. I guess you would be right then. I not quite as famaliar with the CAA. The Big Sky would be the 2nd toughest then and the MVFC 3rd. Quote
darell1976 Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 No UNI and no Montana. Its probably been a long time since both those teams were not in the polls at the same time. Quote

dakotadan Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Cal Poly continues to be under-rated.............. Unfortunately, polls at all levels take your name into consideration just as much as your actual resume. There is absolutely no reason they shouldn't easily be top 10 in all the polls at this point. Just hoping that doesn't happen!! Quote

UNDBIZ Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Not that it really matters but USD is 1-4, no way they should be ahead of us. Sac St is also still getting a number of votes. I'm sure after they lose to Cal Poly and E. Wash (2 top 10 teams) later this year they won't receive any more votes though either...... Quote
UND-1 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 The last thing UND fans need to be worried about is FCS polls. Lets win 3-4 more games then worry. Quote
Johnny Five Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Not sure what it matters but Sagarin Rankings have MVFC, followed by CAA, followed by Southern, followed by Big Sky. I'm not a big believer in computer rankings but these have been fairly accurate in the past. To each his own I guess. I'll never understand the shoe size discussion about conferences. Last year SHSU was by and large in a junk conference and dang near won it all. I don't have a ton of knowledge about the Big Sky, but I know this about the MVFC....I rarely walk into the Dome expecting a W. Back in the NCC days you could gaurantee most of the schedule if you were UND/NDSU. Any Given Saturday..... 1 Quote
