I am more interested in how the schedules will line up now.   Will they keep the UND game?   The SDSU game?
Does this open the door for UND to potentially win the MVFC?  Do better in the FCS playoffs?  Can NDSU pull a James Madison in a few years?

Armacost best have a plan. 

Summit has DU leaving and UST already rumored to Big East. Summit is on thin ice. 

If I were Armacost I'd be on the phone to:
- WMU and Miami exploring a western MAC division and folding NCHC offices under the MAC, or
- on the phone to SDSU and the Montanas and Idaho

In terms of travel destinations, I’d say most of the games are definitive upgrades for NDSU as opposed to where they play in the MVFC.

He has zero ties to the area and is nearing retirement. Not sure what motivation he could have to do anything other than analyze the landscape

8 figures upfront plus huge cost increases to move out of your recruiting area and play late night games in different time zones while you don't have a president and the state is looking at 10% cuts across the board due to declining oil prices. What could go wrong? 

Also, I'd be curious to see the AG's opinion on how working through a mediator somehow negates having to comply with open record requests. At least claim you can't disclose ongoing contract negotiations.

If are so happy about this, why don't you go down there and cheer them on and "be a part of it"?

But don't think for one minute I'll be joining you.

You probably have them in the CFP as soon as they are eligible. But moving from D2 to FCS is 1000% different than moving from FCS to FBS. This is a much more expensive move requiring millions of dollars annually to compete with FBS budgets. The bills won't stop coming in the mail; they will keep coming and get larger as time goes on.

And there is NO WAY IN HELL I will support playing any FBS money games in the FFD. Let them go to Alabama or Georgia for money games like a good little G5 program. We should NEVER, EVER play them again in FB while we are in different classifications.

Again, support them if you want. But I don't think most people on here will join you.

Yeah, but the state is changing the funding model where NDSU will be quite a bit more than und going forward

any money for this would need to be appropriated by the legislature, I don’t recall any agenda item on the state board agendas about this either 

ndsu wants to move up go for it, I don’t want to pay for it, same as renovations to the dump called the Fargo dome (dump)
