FightingSuhaki
10 USHL 2 USHL/International 1 AJHL 1 BCHL I always love seeing recruits who have played on an international stage. European hockey is less physical. More detail conscious and less physical brand of hockey.

roper1313
Yeah, Charlie had a rough season last year. He broke his ankle in the spring of 2012 so he was slowed going into the season. Then he suffered a shoulder injury and once he came back from that, he injured his other shoulder. Too bad because that was a really important developmental year for him, and now this season is really crucial. Of interest, he was also a 2nd Round pick in the 2013 NAHL Draft, so I'm not sure if there's something to read between the lines there or not. Just an FYI, Charlie did not make the 2013 Force roster. They introduced the team today at a season ticket holder party and he was not there.

MissSioux85
Charlie Pelnik tweeted Excited for this new chapter in my life! #Canada Someone asked him where in Canada and he responded, "BC." He recently started following the head coach of the Langley Rivermen (BCHL) so I would guess that's where he's off to. I wonder what his status is as a UND recruit. siouxnami
Charlie is stil young. If he wants to be a Fighting Sioux he needs to do something this year. The BCHL is a skating / offensive league which will be very good for him.

Langley plays on Firday and Saturday, maybe he'll be on the roster by then.

UND99
Saw on the Wednesday chat someone asking about recruit Jack Rowe (Cedar Rapids/USHL) and why he didn't play in the preseason. He suffered a concussion that kept him out of the preseason but he has returned to skating now and should be back in the lineup for the RoughRiders. Don't know, if he moves up the list too much, depending on the team, they might push him the Major Junior route, especially if he perceives he would be a one and done college guy. tnt
i can tell you right now, he's still very much set on UND. It's great exposure for a UND player to go high in the draft, but in the same token, higher draft picks are pressured more to sign early with their NHL team if they are developing well, and even if they aren't developing as the team hopes. Beyond that, whether he is firm in coming to UND, that won't stop the vultures from circling him and giving him reasons why a person with a high draft status should go a different route. Not saying he will bite on that, but nonetheless the higher he goes, the more pressure will be put on him by those outside sources.
