Quote Blades head coach Dan DaSilva has noticed a big difference in both Klimpke and Williams this week at camp, not only for their NHL experience, but how the pair look on the ice with some added muscle. “Both of those guys obviously put on some size over the course of the summer and got the boost from being drafted to the NHL,” DaSilva said. “They both look really good. Obviously, the NHL development camps in the summer should give them some confidence. They’re not pros yet obviously, but they look like they’ve taken a step in that direction.” Quote At the team’s season-ending press conference last spring, Williams said he didn’t have the sophomore season he envisioned and is determined to become a top-line centre this year with the Blades. “Going into the season full of confidence,” Williams said. “Just coming in here wanting that role, wanting to play in every opportunity you can and just be the guy.” Not only are Williams and Klimpke connected through Blades blue and gold, they are both committed to the University of North Dakota and are expected to head to the NCAA a year from now. 1 Quote

"It was amazing, an amazing thing to hear. I was so happy." Needless to say, it didn't take long for Husár to make his commitment. Husár committed on the spot with a targeted arrival date of 2028-29. He is UND's lone goaltender commit at the moment. "It's been a dream," Husár said. "I've known about college hockey since I was 11 or 12. I've been watching Instagram." 4 Quote
.357 Posted Monday at 06:40 PM Posted Monday at 06:40 PM Previous article stated that Husár planned on coming to UND in 28-29 & would have a chance to play alongside Heil. Going by that wording, it doesn't sound like Špunar will be around for his senior year; so the coaching staff already knows two years in advance that he'll be gone by then. Špunar probably figures that he can only grow so much at the collegiate level & is planning his timeline to the pros accordingly. Quote

If he keeps playing like he did last year, it may be before four years, for sure. Quote

Liam with a hattrick and Markus with 1g/2a in a 5-3 win for MH. Really excited to watch those 2 play. There are guys you are excited about because of their status; high draft pick, the name if they come from a hockey family, local ties, etc. I'm just excited to watch how these guys play game to game. They have a knack for the score sheet and just seem exciting. Coming as a packaged pair helps too, and I'll be interested to see what they can do with the talent that will be around them. Does it help them take off even more? We have watched plenty of teams with brothers playing together and it will be fun to have twins on the team to watch that storyline as well. So much to be excited for with UND Hockey moving forward. There were some pretty down years there for a while; no, we were not in the basement of the standing or anything, but it sucked to watch a lot of what we were used to fall apart. The home ice playoff streak, the consecutive NCAA tourney appearances ... then having missing the tourney multiple times under a certain coach, then not being able to win a game when we did make the tourney. The loss to Wisconsin was a bad game, but to be back at the Frozen Four in year 1 of Jackson was exciting. This was like when Berry stepped in year 1 and had the table set for him. Jackson had to come in and make a lot of changes right away and he did them right! Great hires, great recruiting, great chemistry and mentality. Can't wait to watch some hockey! I've said it on here before but my son has been a big UND hockey fan through some rough years, excited for him to get to enjoy some NCAA tourneys, some legit competitive and dominant hockey, some big names that will have big NHL careers and plenty of banners! 3 Quote
