Not everyone wants to come in as a 21 year old freshman. They probably have another player they want to bring in for next season. 1 Quote

As someone mentioned previously...similar to the Spicer situation. I mean, if that final forward roster spot is between Pilgrim and Mathis Preston...who would we rather have? Wouldn’t mind the Ruck brothers. 1 Quote

brianvf Posted March 4 Posted March 4 From Myers: Quote In modern college hockey, a player can de-commit or they can be de-committed. Sources tell me this was the latter. Also hearing that the likes of SCSU, CC and Michigan State have already reached out to Pilgrim. So he will be wearing a college sweater next season. And yes, totally agree on the Rucks. Will be interesting to see what Bryn has cookin. 2 Quote

I'm guessing they believed he'd be dominant in junior as a 19 year old & he hasn't been that so they wanted him back in junior for his 20 year old season and he wanted to come in. It is what it is, opens up a future spot Quote
tnt Posted March 5 Posted March 5 I’m guessing the coaches know the numbers just wouldn’t work out with the future knowing Menghini will be the only Senior next year and you still have guys like Sanderson and ONeill in the pipeline, assuming both Ashton and Brock Schultz might be coming this fall. Bryn has probably been determining what we need to do to start evening out the classes, and been keeping tabs on each recruit. 2 Quote

Schultz has to come in, A. Schultz we'll see with him Quote

We'll lose 4 SR forwards for sure, plus I'm guessing one portal departure. Quote

Agreed and like you mention the "problem" doesn't go away the following season with O'Neil, Sanderson, Williams and McKamey set to come in and that's obviously not counting potential future CHL forwards. 1 Quote
