He's not flashy enough to join the team 8 games below .500. 2 Quote

Crazy that this kid went from JV to Varsity to NTDP in roughly 16 months. Bantam age kids play JV at HM…unless good enough for varsity. Many HM 8th graders play JV. Weird deal if you ask me. Quote

I don't even pay attention to that nonsense anymore. 2 Quote
Fratt Mattin Posted Friday at 07:01 PM Posted Friday at 07:01 PM Everything else aside, I am very glad to be getting a commitment from not only a USNTDP kid, but one from the Twin Cities. That's a player type that we have not had much success with in recent years, so I think it's big to tap back into both of those pipelines 4 Quote

atxsioux Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Kinda seemed inevitable unfortunately. Neither him or UND had a clue that the CHL was opening up when he committed. At least this wasn’t a Maine case where we were intentionally over-recruiting Quote

tnt Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The positive part of this is it likely means we have a CHL commit waiting for the season to end to announce, or a players agent made clear a stud will be entering the portal, like Potter. Don’t know if I would like the character of that player if they did it before their season ended though. 1 Quote
InHeavenThereIsNoBeer Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Wonder if it's a Cole Spicer situation where the staff asked him to wait another year and he said no thanks 1 Quote

But in the CHL/USHL leagues it’s tougher as they limit the 20 year olds to 3-4 I believe. NAHL is wide open I believe. Quote

brianvf Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Not entirely surprising with how many of the older forward commits aren't producing a ton in the USHL outside of Simpson. BSchultz was the only one that has to come in, but with the CHL player pool, it's gonna make these NCAA roster spots harder to get. Good luck to him, would rather see him at Mankato or similar rather than scoring on us if he goes UMD/SCSU. 1 Quote

As someone mentioned previously...similar to the Spicer situation. I mean, if that final forward roster spot is between Pilgrim and Mathis Preston...who would we rather have? Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted 11 minutes ago Posted 11 minutes ago Panzer is probably a better comparison than Spicer since Panzer had the option to spend one more year and age out of juniors but decided to go to Bemidji instead. Quote
