That's nice, but back "then" every player on the team was like that.

Really like this addition. Littler falls into a sweet spot category for recruits. Higher-end guy, that's going +1 in Juniors related to his HS class. Similar to Strathmann, where he might not need to play another year of Juniors, but will no doubt pay dividends for all parties. As someone who hopes UND follows the path of the younger / talented programs, this is a great fit to go along with guys like Strathmann, McInnis (potentially), Swanson, Boisvert in that 2024 class.

"I've always wanted to play at a school where hockey was the No. 1 sport, where it was the big thing in town," Littler said. "Hockey is No. 1 there. Personally, I feel it's the best place in the country. At North Dakota, you have everything you need to get to the next level. Guys who go to North Dakota don't just go there to play college hockey. A lot of them dream to go to the next level."

"He's a big-bodied centerman with elite hockey IQ," Wenatchee coach Chris Clark said. "He's a super competitive kid. I can't say enough good things about him, honestly. He's a pro. That's the best way to describe Cade. He wants to be the best at everything he does, and he puts in the time and effort to try to be that."

"He doesn't get enough credit for his defensive game," Clark said. "He took a lot of big faceoffs for us, especially at the end of games when we were up by a goal. He was one of the first guys over the boards on the penalty kill. He was counted on in all situations."

Strathmann will go in the 2nd-3rd rd and his a much higher end prospect. Littler is intriguing though. Dad is a hockey guy and gets it…he’s a very late rd draft pick and there is zero hurry to climb the ladder. I mean he’s going to be playing junior hockey still 2 years after his draft year. Take the slow route and it will pay dividends. He could very well be a nice player for us.

Wenatchee Wild moved from BCHL to WHL. Curious if Littler is a flight risk.

Wow. Weren’t they NAHL just a decade ago?

There is the current issue with the Winnepeg Ice and how they didn't get an arena and were playing at University of Manitoba's arena.

WHL announces relocation of Winnipeg ICE franchise to Wenatchee, Washington for 2023-24 season – WHL Network

And like that the Winnepeg Ice are sold and now called the Wenatchee Wild.

Thank you!  So more along the lines of a higher tier team relocating to new city and using that new city’s current name.

Yeah and it is the group that owns the BCHL Wenatchee Wild that bought the Winnepeg Ice. What was originally reported was going to happen was the Aquilini family was going to buy the Winnipeg Ice and move them to Chilliwack. Chilliwack has had a WHL team before, the Chilliwack Bruins that moved to Victoria. When Chilliwack had a WHL team the Chilliwack Chiefs left.

Is Canucks owner looking to buy WHL team and move it to Chilliwack? | Offside (dailyhive.com)

Now with the BCHL leaving Hocke Canada. There is a new league in the works to replace the teams by moving up a lower division.

Mock drafts are usually just one round, maybe two. But The Athletic's Corey Pronman, one of the top journalist scouts in country, did a deep dive and a full seven-round mock draft ahead of next week's NHL Draft. He had four UND recruits going: defenseman Andrew Strathmann, forward Jayden Perron, forward Michael Emerson and forward David Klee. Perron and Emerson will come to UND this fall. Strathmann will return to defending Clark Cup champion Youngstown. Klee was recently traded to Muskegon.

Good write up here on Perron and his draft stock. I'm so pumped for this kid to be at UND.

He is an exciting player, and will be a great addition.  Based on past NHL drafts, due to his size I am predicting an early third round choice.  He will be much better than those "projections" in college (see Jackson Blake - fourth rounder).  I am sure some folks will cry about "blue chippas" with where he will be selecteed, but this kid will be awesome to watch.
