We would all go to the soup kitchen together and chorney would serve us dinner. He was a great guy and even though he wasn't very good at hockey, his pleasant demeanor and nonstop giving back to the community made the meth-head captains vote for him. Zod was dispatched to the Phantom Zone* by the Kryptonian-American from Kansas with the Kryptonite intolerance. "Bow Before Zod" (or something like that) was a Gopher (Handyman? Is that you?) inside joke/comment amongst Gopher fans on USCHO a while back (reasons/history unknown). * The "Phantom Zone" is "a featureless state of existence from which inhabitants can observe, but cannot interact" with what is in front of them. You would think that an advisor would get something out of the deal, if it happens, but maybe someone out there knows the details behind this advisor/agent arrangement differences. The NHL team may not contact the athlete or the family of the athlete and must go through the athletes "family advisor" throughout the negotiations process. So, the difference between an agent and an advisor is in order to maintain college eligibility, a athlete is courted through an advisor. While it wouldn't surprise me if he signed a contract, I don't see the confirmation. There was an interesting article in the Edmonton Journal about Chorney and comparing it the the Wheeler situation and it comments how badly contract talks are going. Interesting stuff... " He'll either sign or he'll go back to UND and EDM will still own his rights." Flaming's co-host Dean Millards adds, "The negotiations between the Oilers and Chorney's advisor (he can't have an agent yet as it would ruin his college eligibility) are not going well.
