If I were to pick to be 2-2 against Montana Montana state Wyoming and NDSU or be 6-1 this year I would pick the big wins over it all. We need to gain some respect and my pick could still happen this year. So much confidence can come from these next games. Maybe it will tell us to show up every week like it is Wyoming . Roll Daks!!!

I'm pumped for this game because Montana is actually beatable with their injuries. This game will show us how we compete when both teams have an injured lineup. I really don't care who UND plays because even the backups need this big time experience if we want to be good in the future. I would love beating Montana with a bunch of our backups. I think this game will be good for our team to really focus and prepare to get better. I don't wanna talk about playoffs because we are not ready but if we can make this kind of run next year we will be a contender. I just wanna see us play better win or lose this week no matter who is playing. Let's focus like its Wyoming all over again!

nothing closer to the truth than this. The last two losses sting but we are not good enough to compete in the playoffs anyways. We are learning this season what it's going to take to win these close games and what positions we need to improve at. I'm not too disappointed in bartles performance. The first half of the season was great but we have a lot of developing to do before we can expect our team to be 6-1.

not a freaking chance, he bison needed to get this loss out of the way. They have way to good of a team to dismantle to that level. This will be just a blip in the radar for the bison. I do like the sound of the bison having to prove themselves on the road

With studs 27 weber, UND 21 with bartles 27 weber, UND 31

UND will be lucky to win 2 more games this year. We don't havethe depth on defense to hold back mediocre offenses and we are stuck with a QB on offense that throws like a high school QB. I hope bartles plays and shows us we can have a dual attack

if you don't think those wins were lucky and not against good teams then what are your thoughts against Montana Montana state weber and cal poly? My thoughts are that we will lose all of those games. If we are a good team and not a lucky one we could win one or two

all four of them. We were lucky none of them were very good and Were poor on both sides of the ball. If we would have lost the UC Davis or drake game then I don't think we would have called them good losses as they were poor wins. Until today we really don't play a good team with exception to the bison

We will not be a playoff team with zero passing game. Look at the bison today. They drive down the field and win on a big pass play. We will not be at the elite level until we find that kind of pass game. We are lucky we still have a chance at the playoffs this far into the season

Today shows us what an average QB and a good passing offense can do against our defense. This is what the bison did and isu was the next team to do this to us. I loved being 4-1 but we never were as good as that shows. We have a good future ahead but we still need to work on things and try out other players .

Today shows us that luck cannot support wins all year against mediocre opponents. Let's get real and realize this was the second best offense we have played this year. We are still young and made some big mistakes with the turnovers. I think we played very well in the first half despite the TOs. That late half drive by studs was very promising. We have a good team but it will take a while to become a playoff one. I only see one more for sure win the rest of the year and the rest will be tough games that we could easily lose. I honestly didn't think we were a 4-1 type of team today and we played more like a 2-3 team. It's pretty sad to see us lose this game in he 4th quarter. If studs is out it will be good to see bartles in action for a full game

sounds like mr shanks needs to quit his whining. He is no more important as an athlete Than a student. He needs to remember who pays his teams bills..... The students. Sounds like he needs to focus on the court and his books and less about what the people on tv say.

Here is what I am thinking for the fighting nodaks logo..... take the fighting Irish guy showing his fists make him less Irish and more Norwegian, dress him in carhart bibs and a flannel shirt, give him some massive muscles and there you have it... Our new logo. Bad ass imoh Fighting Hawks would be sweet minus the lame Hawks part. This should not win because of a Blackhawks logo we can't use. The no nickname crowd wants this more than nodaks north stars? We won't be able to have that famous logo either so no point in picking this. Sundogs? We all know this sucks. roughriders. Unique check. Could be offensive check. Represents nd the best check. I would be ok with this choice.

When I become rich like good ole Ralph I will pay for discounted beer for the students. $2 at half, $1 at end of the third. That should liven the students up! intermission at the Ralph is about as good of time as the game itself. The alerus needs to step it up!

The student section is not technically sold out. It's just blocked off and free tickets are given out at the Union. That section will be blocked off whether all the student tickets get picked up or not.

Our defense cant be winning all of our games with the offense playing mediocre. Yes we have a great running game but can we rely on it all season? What if we play a good defense and they stop the run? Studs passing straight up scares me. We have been straight up lucky that we have won 3 games since Wyoming. These new injuries also worry me on both sides of the ball. We also should not have won after 4 fumbles that need to stop. Idaho state will be a good test for our backups but the real measuring sticks are still ahead. Gotta love 4-1 but not after playing like we did the last 4 weeks.

I think we will win his game but barely. I think this game will show that neither team is at a high enough level to compete against playoff teams. I don't think Portland state has been tested by a good team and may be overrated. With that said if we do win this game we will also become overrated as we will break into the top 25. UND 24 PSU 21

If we can take down cal poly Portland state um or msu then I will change my mind about all these troubles. Don't get me wrong I like being 3-1 to start the season but the three teams we have beat were horendous. We can't be a playoff team without a passing game. Our defense and running game just won't hold up.

well the thing is all a defense has to do to beat us is stop the run. Stop our run like ndsu did and we lose the game with under 100yds total offense. We need to get things going or make a QB change.

It's time to put a real QB in he game. Studs has had enough time to develop game experience and just isn't ready to lead this team. We need to see what bartles or molberg have to bring to the table . Maybe they can jump start the passing game. I don't want to go all year with them on the bench.
