I thought I had read something that either the university or the tribes could use the logo. It's a shame they can't give it to the tribe.

The university needs to stop suppressing the rights of the Sioux people and should return the rights to the logo to the Sioux tribes. Some may use it and some may not but it should be THEIR CHOICE! I don't care if they ever approve the logo for UND to use. Keeping the logo from the Sioux people makes the university racist and Kelley should be ashamed .

Roughriders or bust! If the committee and the consulting firm can't see how this name is the only one remaining that actually means something to ND they need to be canned ! It is the only name to come as close to replacing the sioux name as anything else. Bombers or Sodbusters or Plainsmen could have been good names with a good logo

If they are going to review trademark information does that mean that they are going to finally realize the Dallas Stars are only going to sell us the rights to north stars for a huge sum of money? I don't know why it's on the list if we will have to buy the rights from someone

Is there any way we can bring Ryan Chappel out of the fast food retirement and get back a dominant running back? I'm getting really concerned of how lean we are at that position. It would be nice to have a Hanson type of transfer get ready incase of any injuries.

If this committee really wants to piss alumni off even more they should keep North Dakota as an option. It's really sad that after all this work the best logo they have is the Roughriders. The logo has be be very meaningful for it to truly replace the sioux tradition

I don't think I can name half of the big sky team mascots..... Idaho Vandals Idaho state ? Montana griz Montana state Bobcats Cal Davis Aggies Cal poly ? Eastern Washington RedHawks ? Northern Colorado ? Weber state ? Portland state ? Southern Utah ? Cyclones ? Nothern Arizona lumber jacks? I think I'm forgetting some of the schools Man some of these schools need to get new nicknames or work on their branding department Why should we adopt a logo if the choices are lame and not meaningful?

These consultants must have gone to college in MN because they have been trying to persuade the committee to not vote for rough riders and to vote for a dumb Hawks name. We need to quit wasting money and fire them. I don't care what urban dictionary says about rough riders because that is not what the name Means to me. It's not like the Stanford Cardinal or the Harvard Crimson is an imaginative name. There is also the big green. I don't think those can really be called a mascot. I don't have problem with adopting a lame color or thing such as spirit so we can just call the team North Dakota. If we don't select North Dakota , Calvary, rough riders , or the north stars I really don't think the new name will take hold with the fans. What the hell is a sundog anyways?

Jealous of what? 4 championships and game day you dang right I am. It's just the arrogance of some of these bison fans that bothers me. If I did have those championships I definately would not be expecting the whole college football world (you know the most watched is FBS) to bow down to me because of FCS championships. I decided not to jump on the bandwagon like many fans in he state and they sure did not act like they have been there before. We will see if any flip once UND gets back on track. Those dip sticks on bisonville aka FU trailer park don't want to have real discussions about the rivalry. They don't have much common sense over there. I'm glad I don't have to hear this year all about how they would win the big 12 after beating just one crappy FBS team every year.
