KFAN yesterday was discussing the lack of fans attending Gopher hockey games....they concluded it was a mistake for them to move to Big Ten hockey....NCHC opponents all loved to hate the Gophers and could easily drive from Duluth, St. Cloud, Mankato , and Grand Forks to watch their teams taking on the 'hated' Gophs...much more likely than traveling from Penn State or Ohio Dtste...the lack of attendance at games has probably been offset by the lucrative Big Ten Netwotk contract.... But from a fan perspective, a mistake...All NCHC opponents considered the 'big dog' their fiercest rival.....

Totally agree...glad you got my point...but some Siousie. Sniffers do just that...

You don't hear Bison supporters yell, "let's go Aggies" at their events nor Stsnford fans holler 'Go Indians go".... Maybe the hockey team has an 'identity crisis' when they hear those who like to live in the past yell "Let's go Sioux"...when they're not...that anymore...Time to live in the real world....that name 'was, but ain't ever going to be'....look around it's 2019....Deal with what is.....get out of your hole and breathe the fresh air....

So those stats are available....how about grad rates by sport...after...say 6 years....(because many take a red shirt year...and may take a lighter schedule during their season....I realize privacy laws protect individuals, I'd like to see their collective rates)

The "AC" pumps it's cattle herds full of 'juice' in the barns on campus, to increase growth....not a big leap...to FB program

It would be interesting to see the semester GPA's of each sport and the graduation rates of each after 6 years......I know the BIG conference does this....maybe a conference requirement.....don't know... I,would guess at UND the hockey grad rates, at least......would be the least....outside of the few local kids on the team....most aren't here for the education....exceptions of course"...you can find exceptions in every measure....

It gets worse for Aggies....now from Philly ..reports that teammates love Froles....not so much..Wentz...cites selfishness and arrogance....AGGIE FB 'arrogant'....that's an understatement....but in fairness so is UND hockey....not FB BB or other sports...you can have a successful sports program w/o being that....Stanford comes to mind...successful women's and men's programs...but generally well respected....

Boring game....lame 1/2 time show...Gladys 'rocked it' with the anthem..."Home of the Brave" was a stirring ending along with the flyover....goose bumps for all except for ' Siou-sie puck faces' who cling to their outdated, bastardized ending.... FB and BB crowd has moved into the 21st Century on that........

Get a QB and DL coach and 'get after it'....beat the Aggies...(wonder if they'll let the kid from Cavalier hang or fess up... Aggies have cheated since Mudra days... Think he built the 'Empire' cleanly....)

NW Minneaota hockey legend Dick Roberts of Warroad died...did a lot for hockey as a player and benefactor in the area.... Read this on line on the Strib this morning.....no mention in the Herald on line edition....Thought GF paper was a 'hockey first' media outlet??? Forum Communications further 'neutering' of the GF media market!!!!!

Question on. Scholarships....at FBS level....all scholarship offers are full ride ....at D II scholarships can be partial.... At FCS level can scholarships be partial...from what folks are saying here...apparently...plz advise...

No collegiate women's hockey scores in Herald (online) this morning...strange in that the featured. Women's game for Hockey Day MN was Minnesota State v. BSU...beautiful setting on Lake Bemidji...on. Fox Sports North...MM goalie is 6'1"...from New York... Almost filled net...first MM goal scored was by a California women....wonder if she ever played outdoors in below 0 weather before... Just because UND doesn't have it...doesn't mean collegiate women's hockey doesn't exist...BSU. coach is Jim Scanlon...longtime at EGF...several NW MN kids play for BSU...M State 2-1...

character assassination seems to be your trait...ya, 15 straight years are doubtful these days, but some conferences are really weak.......get a grip on 'reality'....times have changed....I see by your location...where you are from...so am not surprised by your thought process....Dynasties are a thing of the past....

College hockey landscape has changed...used to be 4/5 Super teams ( I'm talking in the 50's/60's- Michigan, North Dakota, Minnesota, Boston College, etc)... Talent now spread over. 40+ teams....No longer will teams have long running dynasties.... Will have a window for a couple years....then regroup...and make another run....kinda like the NFL...where ,except for NE, teams will make a playoff run...then regroup... Enjoy the ride...support your fav....but accept the reality....
