Name calling makes the 'immature and insecure' feel better...let's see....what are you insecure about....I can only guess....!!!!

Coach Sandelin getting his 'props' and probably will be collegiate coach of the year...interesting article on how his staff 'keeps' the talent pipeline full....Contrary to some posts....NCAA 'ice' hockey Frozen Four is sold out...of course some of those tickets are available....always are..as folks whose teams don't make it offer them up...

Gopherhole also said the BIG would never take the likes of 'Mankato, St. Cloud, or UND'...nothing to do with hockey competitiveness....but 'status and prestige' of the BIG, academics and research related....

On 'Gopherhole' there was talk of BIG adding an 8th team for hockey...N'westrrn and Illinois mentioned ...as hockey is big in that area..lots of kids playing....also mentioned the BIG is now on a roll ...and may become the dominant collegiate conference if not already so....

One east coast city, thinking it may be in New Jwrsey or New York, converted an unused Mall into a library....Malls are dying....why not convert a portion of Columbia Mall into a library....plenty of parking...easily accessible...on a bus route....Probably at a lesser cost than a new construction..

Do some of you bother to read words....or just jump to your 'feelings'....3 BIG teams still alive...MI, OSU and Notre Dame....2 NCHC...Denver and UMD....that's all I said.... So if MI is still alive in tourney. I'd consider that elite... I hope UMD wins it all...mainly local talent...UND should pull for them also as Sandelin formerly on staff...

I know Brown University is in RI....a co workers son went there...great school.....not a great FB school tho....MI better....

As of this morning....6 teams left.....3 BIG and 2 NCHC....which is the better conference.....How great to be a Michigan alum....FB, BB and Hockey elite...also pretty damn good at baseball also...

Posters on this site....use the term 'hate' a lot....ie. ....hate "Woog, Lucia, Gophers, Sandelin, , St. Cloud State, NDSU, NCAA, Standing Rock. new logo, etc.........'haters' get a life....what is so wrong in your life that makes you so 'hate filled'.... I go to "Gopher Hole" every day....I never hear/read them talk about 'hating' UND.....rarely mention them....but then prolly only discuss things of relevance to U M!!!!!!

Illinois Illini got to keep their nickname.....why???? They went to the Illiini tribes and 'asked' how/what can we do to keep our name..."Drop Fighting' was the reply...done deal...Florida State Seminoles did the same....response...."give us a % of sales with all things Seminole as logo'..done deal... UND/ND legislature used the heavy handed approach with the ND NA people...." You should consider it a privilege that we are using that name, and besides, what to you want...? you all get a free education...."....No wonder the 5 NA Nations of ND did a push back....Oh yes, not all NA students get a free ride to school...many come out with debt equal to or greater than other students.... Let the nickname deal go...It ain't ever coming back...."Flickertails Forever".......

This is ridiculous....my thought is they were playing good old tyme 'Flickertail ' hockey....name?? Mantra???? Good grief....get a grip on reality!!!! It's players and coaching that spells success....true of all sports....do you think Belichek gives a rip that the name changed from 'Boston to New England'? Or how about the Lakers moving from Minneapolis to LA....it's not name, or even location....it's players and coaching...that wins championships....

Two items...1)quality over quantity....UND increased it's entrance /academic standards recently...NDSU did jot 2)Herald will not give up....what a 'backhanded' endorsement of Kennedy this morning. Example of 'yellow journalism' at its best.... Gve it a rest, Herald management and staff...cuts were due to the ineptness of ND legislature...not just for education, but all areas...(driven on rural roads lately?) legislative process forced UND's hand....how many wasted dollars did the legislature waste in the futile attempt to salvage nickname and logo....legislators and Governors trip to NCAA headquarters amongst many other wasted efforts.......How come ILLINI and Seminoles kept their name.? They went to NA Nations and asked 'what can we do to keep name?'...not try to force it on them....like the ND legislature did... Point fingers at those deserving....

Jealousy abounds by Herald staffers...and some on this board.....Kennedy has a skill set that is in demand...How many of those being critical of him, would not ...explore a position that would increase salary by over 50%....but those same some....may not remotely have skills that would make them 'in demand' on the market....Pettiness abounds.....Usually when an individual is hyper-critical...it masks a personal insecurity....(critique me if you will...but I do have an advanced degree in counseling-none of what you may say will affect my self esteem)....

Someone stated the mods of this board don't have an agenda.."oh yeah. Look at the name of this site!!!" Someone also asked why I used the 'Hilary not being president' along with 'UND women's hockey and the nickname issue'....All examples of things that will never happen...that's why.... someone also challenged me to bet that 'women's hockey WILL return along with the old nickname'.....you're on...except you've got nothing that I want when I win!!!!

The Herald, this board's mods, and some who post, definitely have an agenda...and hold to 3 fallacies that will never happen....much to their chagrin: 1) Hilary did not get elected, 2) UND will not reinstate women's hockey and 3) the old nickname and logo ain't ever comin' back.... They need a 'double shot of reality'!!!!!

People on this site, take speculation of UND hockey, players, coaches, way too seriously....There will be a 'Dawn' to this day....and the next... ' Life ' indeed will go on....all should get one....Take heart....Lucia may be available to guide the ship next year...........

Key to UND hockey fortunes is 'karma' as I've previously stated.....for all the 'rednecks' who still cling to the 'Fighting Sue-sies'....nickname...(including the name of this board...which I like, except for the name)....come into the 21st Century and embrace the UND Fighting Hawks.....name and logo....and the hockey gods may change the fortune for the team...(are there still any 'Flickertails Forever' folks still alive!!!)

Don't know..don't care....was only talking of the 'folly' of restoring UND women's hickey...

There is plenty of collegiate hockey opportunity for females in this area at a variety of skill levels...D III,...D I....How many D I female hockey players has ND produced....Lammy twins, sure, but they 'honed' their skills @ Shattuck , where the competitive level was far better than ND high school hockey....thinking there maybe a girl from Bismarck playing D I someplace...hockey for girls hasn't taken ahold in the state....GF has 1 team for both high schools, same for West Fargo, and some other of the bigger high schools also co op to field a team... It didn't make financial sense for UND to continue....and why no other ND colleges have begun an NCAA sanctioned program...Hockey, for most Amercans, crosses their 'frontal lobes' only every 4 years........fun to watch tho!!!!
