  1. https://judolphins.com/news/2019/12/3/jacksonville-university-discontinues-football.aspx Jacksonville drops non-scholarship FCS. Wouldn't be surprised if UNF starts fb soon (next decade). The Dolphins can apply the fb money to lax, baseball and basketball, as they used to be a Final Four team.
  2. You are too ludicrous, just like Lakes. Would love your leadership as an SU AD. Their programs would soon be flushed,
  3. This is not a blog, it is a message board. Repeat. A couple of people here have blogs separate from these message boards/ forums. Blogs are from one or several authors that have different software. The people calling this a blog are computer illiterate.
  4. Radio announcers said Johanneson was injured so only could be used in a very limited way. Nicholls could concentrate on pass defense.
  5. It was a classy tweet from Brad Berry to call out Sather and his team for the win over FGCU with the “Win the Day” motto. Berry had just completed a sweep. Sather seems to be getting support from other UND coaches. A sweep over the Gophers. A win over Nichols St. A sweep of the Florida series. A sweep of the s Colima teams. is that possible?
  6. Halftime FGCU 34 UND 31 Was behind by 10 plus, Rebraca has been missing shots in close.
  7. Impressed that Sather played almost everybody with significant time. Marco was taken out with the sprain(?) and couldn't return. Don't know why Elijah Hazenkamp or Carlos Ramsey didn't get in. Atelbauers, Panoam and Saddled played many minutes.
  8. He was treated for what looked like a bad sprain. On the bench the 2nd half with that foot in an ice blanket.
  9. Was at the game tonight and was impressed by Gertautas Urbanoviscious (sp?). His play with moves was like an experienced upper classman from a freshman. Granted it was against a rather dreadful and short team, but saw a lot of promise in him.
  10. So typical that you don't have a creative thought in your little mind. Livingston had to overcome frigid temperatures. UND will have to overcome 3rd world conditions in their locker room.
  11. West Alabama can't go DI like Troy, Jacksonville St, and North Alabama because they don't have any money from their fan base. Those are the four formerly normal schools in Alabama. All of them were in the Gulf South conference as well as Nicholls St. Nicholls is an order of magnitude richer that West Alabama. As typical, you don't see any correlation between ability to pay for facilities and long term success. After all, endowment doesn't matter to AFA. Troy has gone FBS for nearly two decades because they had big boosters, but that doesn't matter in your mind.
  12. There seems to be many parallels between the Livingston St game and the upcoming Nicholls St game. Livingston St, now U of West Alabama, is located in one of the poorest regions in Alabama, has less than 5000 students, and under a million in endowment now, but is in the shadow of Tuscaloosa. Really shocked at the lack of new buildings and mostly decrepit campus there after driving through. Nicholls St has been majorly hurt by Louisiana’s lack of support for its colleges other than LSU. That region seems to be Cajun Country but LSU is also close. It has less than $10 million in endowment and under 7000 students. For it to be DI almost decades before UND shows the athletic priorities in the South.
  13. Does the Alerus Center charge for a playoff game so the playoff bid needs to include extra cost for the Alerus? A lot of people have to man the game. Nicholls State owns its own stadium. https://geauxcolonels.com/facilities/john-l-guidry-stadium/4
  14. Need players that will be 1st or 2ND team all conference. Think Rebraca and DAE will approach that and Shockey from Illinois might approach that, as well as the Bergans will be capable players. Suburban Chicago always seems to have great players that are overlooked by the high majors, like the IPFW and USD signees, so that's what Shockey might have.
  15. Up to three finalists will be chosen on Friday. They will all be interviews by the SBoHE.
  16. A blog by SBNation of the UND- Penn St match in Nashville. https://www.ontheforecheck.com/2019/11/19/20971301/north-dakota-penn-state-to-play-u-s-hockey-hall-of-fame-game-in-nashville-college-hockey-bridgestone
  17. Orlando is pushing for a MLB team. Moving Tampa Bay might be appear to be an easy way, but the Tropicana wound not allow a move until 2027. Cities that are interested include Montreal, Charlotte, Raleigh, Nashville, Portland and maybe others. The ML’s would likely go back to four divisions with expansion, but with eight teams. https://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/os-sp-baseball-orlando-1120-20191119-t2qlhg3p7bh4lgehb62e3y6ylq-story.html
  18. UND dropped 42 spots in the rankings now. A few spots behind USD, The computer must have been impressed by the win over Concordia.
  19. More on MLB contracting the minor leagues. MLB pays all the salaries of their farm teams so this would reduce cost. Talk is 42+ teams would be eliminated or go to a dream league and they would reduce the draft to 20 rounds from 40. Most of the rookie league and short season A teams would also go away or become independent. But some independent teams such as the St Paul Saints and Sugarland TX would become new AAA teams. The PCL has many central time zone teams and MLB wants to break that up and start a new CST AAA circuit including St Paul. Guess the new Chanhassen stadium would be the indenpemt team in the the FM RedHawks circuit. https://ballparkdigest.com/2019/11/18/more-details-emerge-on-mlbs-assault-on-hometown-baseball/
  20. SiouxVolley

    UNC GDT

If Evan Holm didn't play, there's the reason for the bad secondary play. Weber St and Montana State were his victims. The secondary devolved to the Idaho State game again.
  21. UND 42 Valpo 36 Valpo won the 2nd qtr, but UND is ahead in the 3rd again.
  22. The zags then recruited Crandall, as he almost beat them.
  23. Notre Dame didn't get BTN money, so why would UND? ND gets the right to home BIG games to be broadcast on NBC Sports without sharing a dime.
