So the Macalester President disagrees that St Thomas was involuntarily expunged from the MIAC. But that story just so happens to be a better one to tell the NCAA so it bends the rules. Would love to see Ariz St in the NCHC. But who would be the 10th team? Still say that St Thomas has major advantages over Mankato and it will get its program up to NCHC standards quickly. Miami and Western Mich would probably oppose more western teams. The Alaska schools will need more teams to keep the WCHA afloat. But a Phoenix area site makes a sure thing for another Sioux gathering.

Hotel rates are much lower the farther you get from Nashville. Cookeville is much cheaper in the east, Bowling Green, Ky, is cheaper in the north, Clarksville is cheaper in the west and closer to the Alabama border is dirt cheap. BYU fans are generally not wanted by bowl towns because they don’t drink. NDSU fans will be wanted by FBS bowl towns because of their habits of both gluttonous eating and fully imbibe massive quantities . Good days for bars and lower end restaurants. Schools like Stanford and Virginia may be the upper end schools, that drink wine but not knock down much beer.
