  1. At least according to @SIOUXFAN97, he already did! On his linkedin page, it says he worked on NCAA recruiting for Euro Elite Basketball. Guessing he has quite a few connections over there. Best chance we will have at finding under the radar big-guy talent, imo.
  2. http://euroelite.org/about-euro-elite-basketball-academy/ About coach Dani Mihailovic: As a member of the Beobasket Sport Management Agency that represents high level NBA and Euroelague players and coaches, coach Mihailovic coached some of the greatest European talents, the spring of 2015. He worked on skill development with the best Polish pro team named Turow, competing at the highest European level, Euroleague. Turow had four former NBA players on their roster. Coach Dani Mihailovic worked with one of the best Serbian teams called Mega Leks that had three players drafted in the first round of the 2014 NBA draft. One of them signed a multi year contract with Denver Nuggets in 2015. Coach Mihailovic specializes in individual skill development. He is currently obtaining masters degree in Educational Leadership at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and FIBA basketball license. As college coach: 2014/2015 at Allan Hancock College helped the Bulldogs win their 17th league title, first since 2001 in the Western State conference. As player: Pro, NCAA
  3. You ever think that people from different cultures don't have the exact same focus on schooling? Natives have more pathways into universities like UND than almost anyone - they just decide not to take them. I can think of one particular O-lineman that fits the bill here.

This is where it's nice having Chaves. After watching Beau Baldwin and his success at Eastern, Chaves will hopefully encourage Bubba to move on from Rudolph.
  5. Cool. Just found this article. http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/4322240-med-school-profs-formula-gaining-traction-und
  6. So she worked 20% of a 40 hour week and complained about the schools expectations of timeliness in her work? Of course they asked her if she really wanted to be there.
  7. I remember growing up learning that we should treat everybody equally. Today's politics has reduced everything down to race. All things being equal, a minority born in affluence has a better shot at getting into Cal Poly than a white kid in poverty? That seems pretty racist to me. It also reeks of arrogance, that these universities think that minorities don't have the ability to excel in school well enough to be accepted by their university, simply because of their skin color. If the argument is that minorities come from low income families and are dealt a bad hand, increase the acceptance rate for all poor people, without regard to skin color.
  8. Kinda under the radar but id take Paul Ralston if he could call hockey. You guys ever hear him for basketball? He does a great job, and he does it without a color guy helping him. Has he ever done any hockey games?

They know, don't worry! They already cover every conceivable story, apparently. Teeder doesn't provide any info that isn't already available through Tom. ***Sarcasm****
  10. Apparently it's a Bison fan.
  11. Add a court to the North. Plenty of room.
  12. Good. Hope he stays forever!
  13. Did he do the basketball play by play on the radio broadcast? He was a blast to listen to.
  14. Have there been any scheduling updates for next year? Most schools have a few games that have leaked out by now. Such as Montana playing NDSU at home and SDSU away.
  15. When I was there 5-10 years ago, Hugo's was always depressing. One of the worst grocery store chains I've ever had to go to. Would rather go to Aldi. Was on par with Rainbow. Zero effort.
  16. https://fightinghawks.com/news/2018/7/3/general-und-athletics-hornbachers-introduce-new-relationship.aspx Any idea what kind of money this type of contract brings in to UND athletics?

It's interesting that her brother also decomitted from the hockey team in December. Related or coincidence?
  18. That's true. But their windows are high up on the walls. Enough of the HPC is above ground that there could still be windows at the same height. This is on the designers.
  19. Because UND is the flagship.
  20. Who cares. Judge them based on their actions, not their words! Judging a recruit's academic priorities, based on a tweet, is even worse than taking the recruiting star rankings seriously.
  21. The dream - something like Penn State's Roar Zone. Add permanent seating to the ceiling and add on to the North end of the Betty for more concourse space and locker room/office space or amenities - like hockey's hang out and kitchen area.. the teams that play in the Betty could share it.
  22. Rough mock up.
  23. I think basketball is doing fine, recruiting wise. The problem is losing guys early. It would be real great to still have a guy like Cashman on the team. If we kept Geno and had a big guy in Cashman next year, plus Jal coming in, we would be looking at making a run next spring. Geno leaving early could have happened anywhere, though, with the opportunities that he had. Same thing happened at South Dakota with Mooney. We can get up to 3,800 by doubling the height of the risers. Capacity and cost wise that isn't too bad.
  24. So in reality, the Engelstads didn't donate the money for the Betty.
  25. Anyone know when our AD is going to begin his podcast? He said he want's to do a monthly podcast to clear things like this up. Believe he did this at EWU, as well.
