I can kind of see both sides of the cartoon debate. I think what people are getting caught up on is they associate the word cartoon with the trash you see on Nickelodeon today. Others use the word cartoon for anything that is animated. I believe many animations/cartoons can be considered art. Watch an older Disney movie for example.
