This is an unfortunate byproduct of having a successful athletic program. When you have highly talented athletes at your school there are going to be a lot of people trying to lure them away by waving a lot of money in their faces. Maybe someday NDSU athletes will know what it's like (I wouldn't count on it).

Yeah it was mostly sarcasm from me, I'm sure I'll be back in Scheels within a month or 2 (no less often than usual). Although I am telling myself I need to make more of an effort to purchase stuff from the Sioux Shop rather than Scheels.

Ok, that's the last straw!! I'm done shopping there until they give UND at least $2 million *Good thing I just dropped some $$ there on Sioux gear and need to take a break anyways.

Kinda feel sorry for the guy. Any video he could watch on UND would show us running the ball really well with our pass game being mediocre at best. He and the defense did a good job stopping the run at least Hopefully he's not the last opposing coach to feel some heat after a game against UND this year

These SDSU commenters have taken a turn for the worse after a respectable start. Regardless, welcome to the board, it should be a good game. I've got SDSU by 6 (thanks to Muss calling a punt) unless UND tackles like we did last week. If we don't fix the tackling SDSU will roll by 28.

Minors really aren't a big deal. I'm guessing Senkbeil has the harsher punishment due to the "failure to halt" charge and rightfully so. However, I expect the haters to make a big deal about how he's not a starter.

My take: Minor in college = no big deal 2nd minor in college = still not a huge deal, but a situation worth monitoring running from cops = pretty stupid getting caught after running from cops = really stupid stealing a parking sign = incredibly stupid All in all, a 1 game suspension (Robert Morris) would have been justified. I'd hope he at least had to do some extra sprints. I'm not real concerned about this one though. Are you referring to the pain/unhappiness experienced by those who hoped to vote on these petitions or are you walking the company line and attempting to make the 15 people (moreso just the 13 associated with NDSU) who committed fraud the victims? At least we agree on suspensions. I'm one of the people who thinks this wouldn't be as big of an issue if NDSU had simply gotten ahead of it by suspending players for the Robert Morris game. Unfortunately for NDSU, they've had some awful press conferences in which they give the impression that they don't give 2 sh*ts about fraud or what the people of ND think.* *Not saying this is necessarily the case, just the impression given.

No FCS for football this year. The NCHC deal with CBS sports put the kabosh on the FCS deal for hockey next year and FCS never really cared about any of the other UND sports I don't think. The only UND sport FCS is set to cover this year is hockey. Midco Sports Net has all UND sports now and is working to get other cable companies in the region to pick up the feeds. Focus for Midcontinent right now is Fargo (Cable One) but I'm sure they'll try to market it to MSP companies eventually.

I'd guess the AG has filed the charges with the State's Attorney and the State's Attorney has not yet filed the charges with the courts, again, just a guess.

Because Grand Forks has a worse drug culture than Fargo.

UND not retiring the Sioux name in 2000 is considered doing some questionable things?? There was no NCAA policy at the time. The alumni (nearly all of them, not just Engelstad) never would've allowed it. Your attempting (poorly I might add) to compare keeping an historic sports nickname to keeping a bunch of criminals who attempted to defraud the state of North Dakota.

That was mostly just me taking a dig at NDSU. If you come onto this board you should be prepared for it. If Bohl would've just suspended them for this weekend's (or last weekend's) game, this would not be getting nearly as much attention as it is.

I think a 1-game suspension for first time offenders is adequate. Those with multiple issues (Ojuri) should be out for 2-3 games minimum IMO. Mussman just sat 2 players for skipping class.... apparently the cultures are different.
