UND should NOT go downtown. The talk for Business School expansion has usually included demolishing the laundry building to the southwest of Gamble Hall, building new, and, of course, have a sky walk/tube between the two buildings.
A new business school has been on the wish list for a decade. Maybe they can use some of the Spirit Campaign $$ towards it? When I graduated, Dean Elbert said naming rights to the new building would be $25 million. I can see it now, the UNDBIZ School of Business...... or I guess maybe we should go to the guy who has real money and call it the gfhockey School of Business.
Thanks for adding links to basketball articles. Any updates on a tab for the basketball W-L records and conference standings next to the hockey and football tabs?
They already have the rights to sdsu and usd athletics. Doesn't seem to hurt us any. Most Fargo residents won't need much more encouragement to switch from cable one.
Summit is looking bad right now. SDSU at 0-4. Denver at 0-2, granted they've played some decent teams. Omaha at 3-3 is really the only bright spot and they're not tourney eligible.
As far as saying if ndsu played harder they wouldn't be 1-3, I disagree. They just aren't as good as the 3 teams they lost to. They beat a decent WMU team though.
Whoever is going onto other teams' message boards (Weber and Montana) and starting threads to talk about this game, please stop. It's lakesbison-esque and embarrassing.
I still think they'll win the Slummit, but they aren't deserving of the mid-major rankings and accolades they were receiving before the season started.
I think our depth has been great this year, as it gives Huff and the others a chance to rest and then come out and play against the opponent's tired starters. Huff's shooting has been great this year. 1 or 2 questionable 3s last night, but for the most part he looked good. The new officiating rules really benefit our team as we are composed primarily of players who drive to the basket.
I thought Webb looked much better in this game than he did against Wisco. I don't even care if he scores points as long as he protects the ball and finds the open guy on the court.
2 per year may get a bit crowded, I'd say get 1 but I guess I don't know a lot of the "behind the scenes" stuff. Don't we have 4 on the roster right now? And the oldest will be Sophomores next season.
I was very impressed with our bench last night. Most of them won't be putting up gaudy offensive numbers, but they did their jobs and played about as quality of defense as they could given the fouls being called. Our bench appears very deep and that will help us a lot with how fouls are being called now.
