  1. Good stuff. On an unrelated matter what happened to Wyoming? I have been following them this year and was a bit surprised when they pretty much took a dump against Temple in their bowl game. Up until then they have had a pretty good season.
  2. Referencing DU and Colorado College; I was not at the Pepsi Center when the Frozen 4 was here. I am certain that there is a very healthy UND Hockey following down here as last year half of the World Arena in CC were Sioux fans. At first impression I was a bit amazed.
  3. Come on d00d spill it if you know something!
  4. They would go well with black home uniforms!
  5. I like Denver but I am biased since I live here. I can say from experience that when the Sioux play down here it is safe to assume almost half of the building will be Sioux fans.
  6. Interesting, any news regarding possible shifts withing the Big Sky?
  7. I am not sure if I am surprised. I do see the allure of playing ball out west when you grew up in the heart of the MVFC; the prospect of traveling all over to play would have captivated me at that age.
  8. Your expectations are very realistic. I have been critical about the Herald's football coverage for quite some time now. Even back when I worked for the Herald as an advertising account exec (2 years there before moving to Colorado) I was questionable because I had direct access to these guys and they would never give me a clear answer when I would ask them about it. Interesting to say the least. The news in GF is not that exciting so I have always been a bit boggled about the lack of coverage.
  9. I am going to beat the trolls to the punch here in that we did get hosed by Idaho State as I think it was only a 25k buyout (buning at his finest). To your point: Faison is indeed starting to get it done!

  11. Good points, the only thing that I would like to add is the fact that I remember a lot of dropped balls early on, so Bradley did not get a ton of help. Things are looking up!
  12. It is pretty clear that are not willing to risk a loss. So in a sense they are indeed afraid to come up and play us in our house. It seems like a lot the "better" schools are afraid to come up to North Dakota in general (Georgia Southern was supposed to play at NDSU); a stigma of sorts seems to be there in that these teams think that the world is ending if they lose in North Dakota. Props to PSU for stepping up (even though we are most likely paying them and they desperately need more d1 games) as I think they learned their lesson after this seasons schedule. I know this is asking too much but can we just get the Mines game replaced? I don't care who it is as long as it counts (D1).
  13. I have been voting twice per day (work and home computer). If you have multiple machines make the best use out of them because he deserves it!
  14. Makes sense- This could be the beginning of the Wac's transition to a non football conference...
  15. The effects will come after Boise, SDSU (MTN West) and Houston, central florida, and SMU (conference USA) join the Big East. The MTN West will add Utah State and San Jose from the Wac. Possibly even UTEP from C-USA. C-USA will also be doing some poaching from the Wac and sun belt; L tech is a big prospect. Long story short the WAC and sun belt will get raided. As Star has pointed out the WAC may have to turn into a non-football conference because the only teams that will be left after all of this will be Idaho and a couple low level Texas teams (Texas State and UTSA). My question at this point is what is Idaho going to do? back to the Sky? If Utah State is gone and only Idaho is left than that is not appealing at all for the Montana teams to jump.
  16. That is great news, way to go Faison!
  17. Solid points above. I think that some people forgot that we were picked to be dead last in the Great West not too long ago. Time tells all.
  18. My thoughts exactly. As a UND alumnus living in Colorado I couldn't be more happy about our Big Sky affiliation. I was at the Northern Colorado game and I met quite a few UND fans who drove up from Denver. I have yet to meet a NDSU alum out here and I have been here for over 2 years; I have even randomly met UND alumni out here skiing. There is even a bar in Denver that plays all available Sioux hockey games. At this point the main thing missing is the local support. The kicker is that there is really not that much to do in GF like there is here so that cannot be used as an excuse and the tickets are dirt cheep. I grew up in Devils Lake and trust me in that you can hunt or fish and go to a football game all in the same day! I also think winning will solve a lot of problems but the lack of impact from the SD game makes me wonder...
  19. Yup, just wasted about 20 minutes in the office designing a new UND black jersey. Pretty sweet!
  20. I see enough of your profile picture to say YESSSSS! That is an amazing look and we should be actively pursuing something like this to essentially re-brand ourselves for entry into our new league the Big Sky. Our jerseys were below average this year for sure.
