  1. Your expert posts are rarely intelligent but this has to be one of your dumber posts. Good work!
  2. I hope you are right d00d!
  3. Enough with the suspense already. Let's see them, or at least a mock-up!
  4. I'd like to think a top 3 finish is very attainable. We need to begin conference play with a bang by going into Sacramento and sending a message via crushing victory. If we can start there with some momentum it could be a very promising year! (Plus Sac St people have been very against UND since we entered the Sky so I would like to wipe them all over the field for those reasons too)
  5. face say hello to palm. this nightmare will never end.
  6. I guess their easy schedule is their consolation prize for not having a televised game on Root Sports.
  7. Let's beat San Diego State first; they lost an awesome RB and QB from last year! I was thinking that since Western Michigan and Miami are in the new hockey conference that we could begin to build a football relationship there. This is probably a pipe dream but try to negotiate a 2 for 1 type of scheduling agreement to get a FBS team into the AL for the first time. Probably pretty far fetched but a cool idea to ponder none the less.
  8. If they really want a pissing match all you need to ask the Minnesota legistators: Want to compare state bank accounts???
  9. This is a definite possibility, however I still wouldn't be surprised to see Molberg sitting his redshirt season. Bradley showed us yesterday that he is a true player and will be ready to be the starter for sure his senior year. I was truly having difficulties imagining Joey as the starter his senior year but if yesterday was any indication of the future I think we are in much better position than we have been in some time. As always time will tell and I am really excited to watch this play out!
  10. 2,000 fans- not bad! ACC Boston College had only 200 at theirs. things are looking up!
  11. If it is a non conference game like some have pointed out USD will not see much in terms of instant gratification. However I believe they are vying to be "the" football team in the state so if they can achieve more marketability and buzz with this game it will gain them the name recognition that they are looking for. Now it will take some time for the above theory to play out, but you play that first game to create that buzz; then repeat yearly. I think it is a good move on their part. If Bismarck had a respectable stadium a game there against South Dakota State would be great; but just not in the cards for us at this point.
  12. Absolutely correct, I believe Molberg is the guy but also a main reason the major D1 programs eventually backed off was because of his injuries; they do and will continue to happen so depth is vitally important. Healthy competition is a good thing and they will both get their shots.
  13. I really hope a lot of people show up to take in the festivities as well. Last saturday I was at the CU spring game and I think the tailgating was the best part of the day, however the game was not so good but that is par for the course here lately, and our best receiver tore up his knee and is not out for the year so it could be another long season here. I look forward to watching the online feed on Saturday as I am really excited for our Big Sky debut!
  14. Not sure if this has been posted but is interesting and worth a share: http://www.championshipsubdivisionnews.com/log/index.php/2012/04/06/grizvox-sioux-or-sue?blog=2
  15. If you were a prospective student and you had narrowed your choices down to a school that has little to no athletics and a school with a strong athletic program, which one would you choose? I know I would have chosen the school with athletic events that I could attend. (keep in mind that in this example both schools are equals academically)
  16. That's a terrible analogy and you know it.
  17. No you should go to the game DirectTV has Root
  18. That is a valid point. But when I was there in early/mid 2000's, I remember missing a few 1 PM games because I was out too late. I would wake up around 11, which is theoretically is enough time to get to the game, but in reality it really isn't. (now I couldn't sleep until 11 if I tried) As long as there are no hockey games on those sat nights I am all for the later start times. Plus, in october goose/duck hunters will have plenty of time to hunt and clean up before the night/afternoon games.
  19. Where did you read about the blackout idea? I was just on the Big Sky site and couldn't find anything about this. Yes, if nobody is showing up for that game and the far side seats are empty then it should be blacked out up there. I am optimistic that attendance will pick up.
  20. I was a bit surprised the Montana and M State are in every single game; I thought they would mix it up a bit more. They are the two marquee teams in the league so I do get it.
  21. You are conveniently forgetting to add that the majority of the petition mongers HAVE NEVER ATTENDED UND, and have no stake whatsoever in UND's success as an institution.
  22. I personally don't like the idea of allowing only North Dakota residents decide this because the vast majority have no connection to the University, or even attended a day. All they know is the big bad bully ncaa is telling us what to do; which is true to some extent but there are so many other details that are not at the surface that the average citizen doesn't know. This is so f'ed up. *before someone comes down on me for not living there: Born, raised, educated in Nodak
  23. I agree. With all of the uncertainties of non conference scheduling I am sure it is not too far fetched to think we couldn't play non conference games in the future when we dont play each other. This year we play Portland State in NC and next year we play Montana in NC.
