Yeah, it doesn't make sense. I say cut the sport that is the overwhelming biggest drain on your budget and keep the others that cost a fraction. But that just makes too much sense!!

If I were a betting man, I would guess that WHKY is going to be saved due to the fear of the negative message that sends. Sports I think will be cut will be mens and womens tennis and mens and womens golf. Bringing UND to 16 sports.

The master minds of the North Star College Cup thought that this tournament was going to be just like the WCHA Final 5 of old. I honestly think that. While it was a good idea, trying to recreate the atmosphere and excitement of a post season conference tournament with a non conference tournament was going to be very difficult to do.

We can't move any sooner than 2020. Conference schedules are set until then. The Big Sky and the MVFC aren't going to start over from scratch to exclude/include UND to figure out their schedules for 2018 and 2019. Its only for 2 years. It is a temporary inconvenince that will be well worth it after we are in the MVFC. Today is a great day for UND athletics!!
