No offense to Denver, Duluth, or any other #1 seed that gets put in the West Regional......UND will be the favorite to go to Frozen Four out of that region. Is that a homer pick? Maybe. But you can't overlook the home ice advantage that we are going to have in Fargo.

If we are talking about UND being a 4 seed, then we are in for a long 6 weeks!!

So if you had a choice to cut 2-4 sports or cut just 1 sport to save the same amount of money, what is the more logical thing to do?

Did I say that the trend was going to continue forever?? We were talking about right now as we stand. Obviously UND can achieve what NDSU and SDSU have accomplished in both MBB and FB. But until we at least win a playoff FB game or make the NCAA tournament in basketball, they will have accomplished more.

In regards to Division 1 success, NDSU and SDSU are currently ahead of UND in football and mens basketball. Suggesting otherwise is just ignoring the facts.

Real leaders make the tough decisions (even though they might not be the popular ones) and deal with the consequences. Hoping that Kennedy is that leader.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense. I say cut the sport that is the overwhelming biggest drain on your budget and keep the others that cost a fraction. But that just makes too much sense!!

If I were a betting man, I would guess that WHKY is going to be saved due to the fear of the negative message that sends. Sports I think will be cut will be mens and womens tennis and mens and womens golf. Bringing UND to 16 sports.

Wow. So I guess not wanting UND to continue to lose 1.5M dollars a year on one sport is somehow sexist!!

The master minds of the North Star College Cup thought that this tournament was going to be just like the WCHA Final 5 of old. I honestly think that. While it was a good idea, trying to recreate the atmosphere and excitement of a post season conference tournament with a non conference tournament was going to be very difficult to do.
