You know what they say about payback!!

It is amazing that 4 players from last years team (Schmaltz, Caggiula, Stecher, Ladue) are all currently on NHL rosters this year and have made their debut. And if Boeser had decided to turn pro after last year it would have been 5! I really makes you appreciate how good that 2015-2016 team was. Awesome to see these guys playing for NHL teams this year. Really shows how great a program we have here at UND.

I'm guessing their response is something like......."Its some show that no one has heard of on a channel no one gets about a sport no one cares about in a city no one has ever been to!!"

I could see them doing something like this for 2020 and 2021 (and so on) as far as conference schedules: 2020 UND - NDSU, SDSU, @USD USD - NDSU, @SDSU, UND NDSU - SDSU, @USD, @UND SDSU - @NDSU, USD, @UND 2021 UND - @NDSU, @SDSU, USD USD - @NDSU, SDSU, @UND NDSU - @SDSU, USD, UND SDSU - NDSU, @USD, UND Looking at the current schedules for USD, NDSU, and USD, this schedule would keep the home and away games with the current Dakota schools consistent. If the top 2 rivals for each school are as follows....... UND - 1)NDSU 2)USD USD - 1)SDSU 2)UND NDSU - 1)UND 2)NDSU SDSU - 1)USD 2)NDSU .....then each school would get one of there top 2 rivals at home every other year as well as another Dakota school either home and away. I suppose the MVFC could start fresh in 2020 when UND joins, but this would cause the least disruption and avoid the Dakota schools from having to play 2 years in a row at the same venue.

I guess that I am a little disappointed that this game won't have more Minnesota fans. I know that sounds crazy, but I think it would make for a great atmosphere. Don't get me wrong, having over 7000 passionate UND fans is going to be pretty crazy. But it would be great to have a few more Gopher fans to interact with during the weekend and at the game. That being said, Having a raucous crowd in full support of UND 1500 miles from their home arena is going to be an amazing experience.

Looks like an incomplete version. Big white area above the logo looks to be where " North Dakota" "UND" or "Fighting Hawks" would go. Or maybe they are trying to brand the University of North Dakota with just the logo!! The "Pledge your Loyalty" slogan is pretty awesome!!

Tough to beat a team 5 times in a season. (Unless you are the 2002-2003 Minnesota Gophers. And that was 7) Ugh that sucked. I apologize for reminding everyone about that year!

Pretty tough for a Summit team (or any other low to mid major) to have a team with a high enough RPI to get selected as an at large. Sure it could happen, but very unlikely fo happen in the Summit.

No offense to Denver, Duluth, or any other #1 seed that gets put in the West Regional......UND will be the favorite to go to Frozen Four out of that region. Is that a homer pick? Maybe. But you can't overlook the home ice advantage that we are going to have in Fargo.

Minnesota was the overall #2 that year.

If we are talking about UND being a 4 seed, then we are in for a long 6 weeks!!

So if you had a choice to cut 2-4 sports or cut just 1 sport to save the same amount of money, what is the more logical thing to do?

So get rid of the least popular and most expensive sport with the least risk of Title IX compliance issues? Wait, that makes way too much sense!!

Did I say that the trend was going to continue forever?? We were talking about right now as we stand. Obviously UND can achieve what NDSU and SDSU have accomplished in both MBB and FB. But until we at least win a playoff FB game or make the NCAA tournament in basketball, they will have accomplished more.

In regards to Division 1 success, NDSU and SDSU are currently ahead of UND in football and mens basketball. Suggesting otherwise is just ignoring the facts.

Real leaders make the tough decisions (even though they might not be the popular ones) and deal with the consequences. Hoping that Kennedy is that leader.
