They are already taking steps in preparation of the final numbers. Only reason why no one is talking about it is because eliminating jobs and departments isn't as exciting to write about in the papers as dropping sports.

For those wanting this game at the T-Mobile Arena, you may not have to wait too long to see a college hockey game there. There will be a Frozen Four in Vegas and I wold not be surprised if it was as soon as 2019.

Programs will be cut, people will lose their jobs, and departments will be significantly reduced at NDSU. But that's not as interesting as sports getting cut at UND, so no one is really talking about it. Including the Fool-um.

Come on guys, you have to believe what Larsen is saying. Cuts will me minimal. People will hardly notice! Move along, nothing to see here!

So if the cuts "will most likely be felt in the athletic department at North Dakota State" and Larsen said that no sports would be cut, no scholarships as well as "resources to win a championship" (which I assume he means FCOA), then were are the cuts in the athletic deparment going to be made? Not sure how you can cut 1.5 million from the budget elsewhere without anyone noticing.

This the last year the BTHC will have a post season tournament at 1 venue over a weekend. Moving to on campus sites next year. Anyone know how long a contract the NCHC signed with the Target Center? I get their reasoning for initially doing it, but now that the X is available, I think that the NCHC needs to jump at the opportunity to move the Frozen Faceoff to the X. Preaching to the choir here, but it just seems ridiculous promoting the NCHC as the premier comference in college hocky and then playing their premier conference tournament at a terrible venue.

But what fun is that!!! UND v MN in Fargo would be insane!!!
