Not true. While number in EGF has grown it is no where near what GF gets. There isn't enough apartment housing in EGF. One thing to also remember is that some of these families are very large. Think 6-8 kids and then add in other relatives. I've heard of some living on both sides of the river until enough apartments open. Also some are waiting for other family members to arrive. There is a lot of culture issues and assimilation that needs to happen, but hasn't that been the case for most groups that have been the new Americans?

Any idea if player choice or Brewster choice? I know he cleaned house when he took over, and I don't like the idea of this becoming a habit.

This year we aren't as physical and don't actually take as many penalties so I'm not concerned there. My big concern like every year is that our advantage of depth is negated by TV timeouts being longer. Teams can get by with 3 serviceable lines. Though with illness that was advantage in regional.

Did you actually click and put into cart to purchase? Because stub hub has the fees built in. Every other site has a stupidly high processing fee of over $100.

Anyone have any clue where our fan section would be? Or what end we'd shoot twice at? We are highest seed left so logic would dictate that we have Bruins dressing room and bench. But maybe they don't use NHL dressing room and we'd get visitor dressing room and bench. Essentially flipping the arena.

Ice and boards sucked, but it's not a hockey facility so whatever. What I couldn't figure out is why less concession stands on Saturday. We went looking for popcorn and only 1 spot in he whole arena had any. Also for a pro arena I'm surprised at lack of concession items. I think what many forget about St. Paul was that it was impossible to get food or drink at most places because it was so busy. I personally like that there are so many more options.

No, but for town it may be closer than many will admit. Oddly enough most hockey players don't show allegiance. Scary thing is the amount of FU gear. One thing about todays game was that Hermantown got EGF'd. Lots scoring opportunities and they couldn't hit the net. Story of EGF year and just look at the second period where once 2-2 EGF dominated play and had one shot in about 10 minutes to show for it until they scored.

Not to derail thread but not sure exactly how MN does breakdown. Normally it's 64 biggest make up AA. Then rest single. However this does lead to bigger descrepencies in A. So when a school opts up like Roseau or next year Duluth marshal (I believe) I'm not sure if that then forces bigger school down. I don't think it does but for evening purposes it might.

Might have been the best I've seen east side play. Fantastic game and most physical I've ever seen. It def kept the metro team down. I did think egf got away with some early but mahtomedi wasn't getting called for things after whistle. Great atmosphere and wow was there a lot of fans. Most upper deck full as well and lots people just waiting in concourse. I found mahtomedi chanting "what's a green wave" funny bc no one had clue what zephyr is. Btw my understanding on green wave is that it's for wind blowing through wheat fields before ripening. Lame reason but at least original. Btw I would think loven starts getting looks. He's been the glue for a while even playing d for selk. Also weber from egf is solid goalie. I watched Zane in high school and feel weber is right with where he was. Can't wait for tomorrow as I heard egf didn't play great first time against hermantown. Not to mention tv time outs has allowed egf to load first line.

Gotta love no private schools left for championship in either class. Too bad Bemidji couldn't pull it off. BTW Breck would technically be the smallest school in tourney at bit over 400, but not sure how to count a private that can pick and choose who they want. EGF is next at 490. Their opponent tomorrow Mahtomedi has 1143 so Red River size. For Mafia, Hermantown is at 615.

Almost no EGF team has red anymore. Too expensive to get the third color as a trim piece. Love the home whites, but the new EGF roads that you'll see tomorrow are ugly. If you look up boys basketball jerseys the whites (road) that EGF has are about as classy as it gets.

MacMillan did try and take a shift a while after the injury. He got off the bench skated maybe two strides and came back. It put us in a bit of a disarray as only 4 players were then on the ice. I figured at time they must've only suspected bruise to let him back out.

I truly believe either Minnesota or clown will be our opponent for first game. Probably both in regional if umtc stays 3 seed. bus rides.
