Any reason the UMTC game isn't on TV? Seems weird to show last nights and not tonight's.

I believe they've worn them this year. But with orange pants. Not such good look then. Very interesting to listen to the new coach talk during the broadcast about how well the coaches were doing and yet I'd bte he's replacing most. It was cool to hear that conversation for that drive though. (disclaimer: Gator fan since parents brought me home a shirt from Florida as little kid)

I believe the game tied for lowest rated classic on TV. Apparently way up on streaming though.

Was that 4 turnovers in one quarter for FSU? And now did the same guy fumble for third time to start 4th???

EGF achilles heal is scoring. They can dominate games, both in shots and zone time, but not score. Their D is much weaker this year, but they did lose like 5 D from last year. Very good team still, but I think some team with speed will knock EGF off before title game.

Love the Winter Classic. Hating the teams. So little hype for the game this year. NHL blew it putting the 24/7 program on EPIX (DirecTV doesn't even get it) and of course same old teams. The game is enough of a spectacle that they don't need to have only big market teams. Would like to see Canadian team, but that's a TSN deal of having Heritage Classic. I am liking idea of holding it in Europe. Think it would be great way to give back to all European players. BTW in 7 games only 9 different teams have played.

Love watching college football and a day like today is why. We haven't even got to the playoff games yet. Always root B1G and they have shown up this bowl season despite being underdogs in all ten games. icing would be Ohio State getting a win. BTW the almighty SEC West is 2-4 in bowl games with one left tonight. However the is SEC East is like 3-0. With how rest of Big Twelve performed I think the committee got it right. TCU is damn good, but Baylor not as much. Defense wasn't good enough. Hopefully the 3rd string qb for OSU keeps things close today..

Class A has lots of atmosphere at the Xcel and any player will tell you they want to play there. Lower bowl is mostly full. While playing at the john would look fuller I don't know if it would add that much more atmosphere. I'm going to guess girls will say the same thing, but it isn't as lively for theirs because schools don't bring as many fans. My understanding is the boys tourney also floats their tourney rental. IIRC some Cities private school parents sued over title IX to get girls tourney moved to Xcel. The sad thing is that Section 8A will normally have the most affiliated fans and they have the farthest drive.

Even with two good teams that record discrepancy doesn't quite mesh if you are talking conference quality. Plus the Big didn't have good teams to go against? Where would you put Wisconsin in the Big 12? Minnesota? Nebraska? In all seriousness the big 12 just happened to have two great teams and a bunch of questionable defenses. Could any stop the run, because we know they can't stop the pass.

I personally don't think Big media bias will play in at all. TV numbers will be huge no matter what. Now onto the debate. Head to head should matter. Not to mention that Baylor has a top ten win (against TCU) that TCU doesn't have. Now I do like the conference assumes TCU is the better team and I think they are, it shouldn't matter. They lost. So what about OSU? Well many college football experts think they get it because the committee doesn't want to decide between Big 12 champs and I don't blame them. However how about the fact that OSU played this season with a back up qb? And then played with the back up of a back up? Obviously they have one hell of a team. BtW OSU opponents record is 84-60 while both TCU and Baylor opponents are 61-70. The biggest mistake was not having an 8 team playoff. Each P5 school should be sending their champs. Plus G5 best and then 2 at large.

Only went last night and couldn't believe the amount of holding and extra pokes being allowed. No wonder it was getting heated. Surprised it didn't get chippier after that hit from behind that was only 2 minutes. In the last minute it looked like McIntyre got run over, they had the too many men stick exchange, and in corner at end one of UNO players started a slash from above shoulder and if would've hit arm instead of stick probably would have done some damage. All with no call.

Nebraska has the problem that many big time money schools face. They can't hoard players like in the 80s and 90s. Maybe someone can answer this though. Wisconsin gets who they want from their state being the only d1 program. Is it still the same for Nebraska? Is their high school fb down? Pelini has been solid each season, but not where that school is used to.

How many years left on CBS deal? I liked the broadcasts last year, but why so few this year? By the time ASU potentially joins I think the CBS deal is done. Keep in mind CBS has relaxed the deal and now allows other games on national TV. Which would mean PAC 12 Network could air ASU games. How many cable affiliates get that station in Midwest anyways? Directv still doesn't. My issue will be if ASU thinks they are Notre Dame and demands that they are the only ones on a national TV deal.

Pac 12 teams (or Big 12) is why I never wanted the 8th member. Also why NCHC shouldn't rush on a 10th team if ASU joins. Keep in mind that ASU has a year or two before joining. They put this together in a short time (first report this summer?). Another Pac 12 could easily say they are adding in the next year and ramp up the same way or just join with ASU.

Let's say this does happen. Shouldn't NCHC leave a spot open in case another power 5 school starts up? The big downside would be that they could wait a while.
