  1. The broadcast just had all time series 45-37 UND. UNDwbasketball tweeted that we are 44-33 ahead. Anyone know why each school may have a different tally?
  2. Alumni party at heartland brewery already has lots Sioux fans but very segmented place. Also most people that may have got a table reservation won't be able to see a tv. Were they going to show football game?
  3. I guess many of the girls went down and watched Nebraska take on Minnesota so they already know what the atmosphere will be like.
  4. It looks like last year nether Denver or NAU had to play the to top seed in the region though it looks like Denver first match was against #2 seed.
  5. Same. We will be going to #2 Minnesota or #1 Nebraska unfortunately. It will depend on a summit team though since it is about regionalization. A downfall to being in midwest where volleyball is so strong. I don't think Minnesota will be thrilled with that matchup as it seems we already played them tough. I'm wondering why the Big Sky is the first conference to end there season. We now have a lot of time to heal, but also get rusty. Volleyball is all about timing so this long stretch isn't a good thing. In looking at box scores, one year the Big Sky winner then played a match a week later that was a nonconference match. Maybe it was a typo.

Love that it's the late game, but hate that a bunch of us (including me) will be in NYC for hockey. And that people may stay home to watch hockey.
  7. Someone did buy 80 tickets to give away to students, but needed more of that. Or the school to ask a few people to help with that, because not many students there.
  8. This stuff was really hard to find. Went as far back as I could find box scores. 2016 at UND we had 1512 in winning title. 2015 at NAU they had 1423 in winning title. 2014 at ISU with UNC winning had 1111. 2013 at PSU with ISU winning had 812 2012 at UNC they had 2120 in winning title. 2011 at PSU with UNC winning had 462.
  9. That was fun! Crowd was great. Odd it was almost double last night at 1500 even though didn't look double. I was nervous going in after beating crap out of NAU last week. Figured they'd want revenge. Then they served up a handful of aces to start the match and ratchet up my anxiety. But we settled down and played awesome. I was reminded from last weeks broadcast that NAU serve aggressive and it really cost them last week. Tonight not as much. We were just that much better. However, very few clean winners by either side. Both teams were solid. I was hard on her early so I have to give props to Ashley Brueggeman. Not sure how she wasn't on the tourney team, because she was outstanding. Tonight she hit at least 2 balls straight down the line for clean winners. Last night she was hammering shots. And in all instances they were well needed points / sideouts.
  10. Either we always report higher attendance than is actually there or this was underreported, because seemed to be around 1000. Anyone have ideas on other Big Sky tourney averages?
  11. Looked like she was using electrolysis before game as there was even more wrap than during the game. But she must not be 100%. Our libero Frase (?) had giant warming pack on her back during intermission.
  12. I was going to post all of this after going to the game tonight. Bruggeman was hammering the ball and while Merselli was great at the net she struggled horribly in the back row costing us many points. Idaho State came back from down 2-0 after UNC dominated them in the second set. Sound familiar? Not sure what that coach screams at intermission, but it works. Speaking of which Pryor had team go to locker room for break. Before NAU game we were still staying on floor. Was this the case against NAU and UNC?
  13. The Vail one is strange, because she has best hops on team. I suppose with Moser leaving it will open a middle spot for her.
  14. Moser will be be tough to replace, but the fact that everyone else comes back does make next year a big one. Especially since next year I'd bet 4 players in rotation will be seniors. I would like Pryor to get some of our younger players some more time, because going to be a lot to replace after next year. Volleyball just is a tough sport to do that though.
  15. Has anyone heard anything about tickets? Options, pricing, or when to buy? I thought Alerus announced Tuesday 10 am???
  16. Figured the tourney needed it's own thread. THURSDAY #2 Sac St vs #7 E. Wash 11:30 #3 N. Arizona vs #6 Port. St. 2:00 #4 N. Colorado vs #5 Idaho St 4:30 #1 North Dakota vs #8 Idaho 7:00
  17. Tough draw. I think we've had lots of recent matches against Idaho go 5 sets. But what is scarier is that semifinal matchup. Our two losses were against those two teams. Just keep playing like we have been and it won't matter as no one will come close to us.
  18. Didn't we lose 2 freshman of the year that played a lot? Pioske was one.
  19. With how much you talk NDSU I'd figured you'd piece that together. I wasn't necessarily saying FBS. They'd love to get fully into the Missouri Valley. Lets say MVFC is OK with adding us for football and it's because someone is leaving. That means there is probably an opening in that conference for all sports. Not saying it will necessarily be NDSU, but they wouldn't hesitate.
  20. And what's wrong with recruiting that footprint to the Big Sky? It sets us apart from those other schools. Keep in mind that we are the furthest school away from this "MVFC footprint" as well. I think you're living a bit too much in the NCC days. That was D2. Hell Omaha got rid of football for D1. Things are different and I like being the one school school off on own. I'd love for another to join but this works. Imagine the day when both ND basketball or volleyball schools make the dance the same year. Won't happen if both in the same conference.
  21. Until NDSU bolts for greener pastures.
  22. But nothing for the women's sports and they charge that much?
  23. Going to be a lot tougher to follow away games when Summit doesn't have something like watchbigsky. SDSU wanted to charge me $8 to watch the volleyball match earlier this year. I believe NDSU was about the same. And traveling to away games isn't a good enough reason, because that affects such a small part of the fan base. BTW we had a great contingent in Greeley. Yes I think home attendance would go up, but not as much as some are thinking. It would be minimal. One benefit of a move would be that NCAA's are easier to get to as there are less teams fighting for a spot. Too much focus on just football. There is enough bids to go around. The scarier thing is does this mean our volleyball and basketball programs couldn't qualify for NCAA while we transition? Lets say someone is leaving the Missouri Valley. the SU's would leave the Summit in a heartbeat to get fully into that conference and we'd be right back to where we started except with absolutely zero names to play. Do our teams bus a lot more? If I was a recruit flying seems like a much better perk. I want to stay in the Big Sky.
  24. How come we don't run any sort of screen ever or any slants / curls? And I'm not just talking this game. Do we have that little faith in qbs accuracy?
  25. Ok I guess running every play is our only option. I don't mind the first pass down the field, but why on the next one? I just don't understand the play calling from one extreme to the other. Need some balance and to use our big receivers in short situations.
