My understanding is Pryor prefers the early starts even on football weekends whether hockey is happening or not. I suppose a bit of an advantage like football gets, but seems more fans would show if at night (when no hockey). Last year it seemed the Big Sky conveniently scheduled home volleyball every weekend we also had home football. Hasn't seemed as bad this year..

UND wins first set against Montana 25-18. Then tank the second. It was 5-18 and then lost 13-25. Can't happen against a team with 1 conference win.

In reading some stats, NAU is number 1 IN THE NATION for service aces. We are like 10th in own conference. Oddly enough I think I saw we are 2nd in digs in conference which is surprising with how the beginning of the year was. Also they have a pretty prolific outside hitter. To end the season UND has to go to NAU on Thursday and then fly back home to play Saturday at like noon game against UNC. Which is only team to beat us so far in conference and even worse it was in 3 sets.

Does NAU have their qb back yet? Or is he expected back? That game now scares me the most, because if he comes they are good, but no one on committee will know this since they have some losses they probably shouldn't.

They also got help as Sac St rebounded from first conference loss and went down and beat Northern Colorado to give them second conference loss. Eastern Washington beat Northern Arizona. Best record hosts tournament and 3 way tie between us, Sac St and NAU.

Keep this up and some backups could play. Oh wait most already are.

I love how we have changed offense slightly last 2 games. Now doing more of the wildcat read option with Studrud and he is finding huge holes to run for.

Really? Because #9 did a number against us in the first couple sets. She hits harder than any of our girls. They really hit to the far side corner and we didn't seem to adjust blocks for a long time. But bigger better hitters are certainly going to be on tap.

Anyone know if coaches were at EGF-Detroit Lakes match other night? DL went 6-3, 6-2, 6-1, (I think another 6-1) and 6-0? 6-3 girl is sophomore and project, but other sophomore is 6 feet and can leap. I don't see many D 1 players jump the way that girl can and other outside 6 foot something hitter was no different. I think she was a junior. Doppler and Gunderson were the names IIRC.

In case people don't know...ESPN 3 is only streaming over the internet and not an actual channel. Depends on internet carrier if you are allowed to stream it. Midco is a carrier.

While UND doesn't own it, they play indoor tennis. And practice indoors. GF leaders may have been shortsighted on how many courts they kept inside as it is only 6. Hard to get court time. But yes Big Sky tennis is a strange core sport as no one carries Americans. Even SDSU has gone almost all foreign last I saw.
