He's played in 4 games this year, which my sources say is definitely more than zero. And I would look more at his production than some mythical donation as to why he hasn't been in the line-up. I have a hard time believing that Trev Alberts is controlling who Dean Blais puts on the ice.

Montague's page says he's looking at Business. I'm guessing they are seeing a chance to play early. They were being recruited by the old staff, so I'm sure they are aware of the postiives of the school. Getting a chance to play D-1 football close to home as well.

If what siouxjoy said is correct, it taking a week or so to get through all the interviews and narrow down the finalists seemed more or less in line. The face to face interviews are the part that is a mystery to me. No clue why they waited until this weekend to do them. I'm assuming either this afternoon or tomorrow we will have our new coach. The application date for the assistant coaches closes next Monday. Hopefully he can get his staff in place quickly.

As someone (siouxjoy) who was very familiar with the hiring process explained here, here and here, the process is what the Herald laid out, they aren't making it up as they go along. There were 9 candidates interviewed, not 2. Bubba and DeBoer were the two finalists after the initial 9 were interviewed.

I honestly don't know how the rule reads but he didn't sit out because he wanted to, he sat out is because Billy Donovan didn't give him his scholarship back because he hadn't met the terms Donovan put out. The NCAA is so absurd with their inconsistencies in rulings on transfers that you never know which way it will go. That being said, he looks like a good player for the Jacks, hope he has matured and can use all that talent he has.

If it is DeBoer, I'm happy he can come put back together what he helped destroy (from the opposing sideline). His head coaching record speaks for itself, I don't care what level it was at. You don't end up with as many national championships as total losses and not know how to coach. His results as an OC were a mixed bag, it is what it is but that is not what he's being hired to do. Bring in a strong assistant staff and get the ship turned around.

I believe, but can't confirm, that the new commit is defensive back Joe Montague out of Minnetonka High School. 5'11", 180lbs. Those who have been wanting to see some more physical play in the secondary will like his highlight tape.

Not to let facts get in the way of your campaign, but brought them back from where? Duluth's record the three years prior to Bubba coaching were 8-3, 11-0 and 9-3. Again, not in the NCC, but they were hardly down so I'm not sure how he brought them back.

Wow. That's some good size in the defensive backfield. Guess it is needed with some of the WR's in the Big Sky. Also like that he was counted on to switch from WR to QB to help out the team. Sounds like an all around athlete.
