Former NDSU player Kevin Feeney was his head coach at Moorhead with I believe one or two other NDSU football alums as assistant coaces. I think SDSU was his only other offer. Don't think UND had much of a chance on him regardless.

I can assure you it is true. It was printed in a story done about his recruiting story. Note that the "soft verbal" was because Mussman told him he completely understands if Iowa was to come in with an offer that Joe would take it.

A few of their games? How many Ferris St games did you realistically watch outside of the NDSU one? My guess is zero. Massey's (and other's) ratings are especially flawed for inter-division comparisons when there isn't enough games between the divisions to correctly and fully make the connections.

Off the top of my head in the last two years: -Mollberg committed to UND and Bohl called him from TCF Bank stadium right before the UM game shortly after anyway. -Joe Schobert was committed to UND and NDSU came after him hard after a summer all-star game even though there was no prior offer. He turned NDSU down. UW also came after him and ultimately got him. Not going to hold the UW thing against him, any kid who is committed at the FCS and gets a local B1G offer is going to take it. Don't know if there was more. Not all that concerned about it. It happens and will continue to happen.

A little green but he coached under Bubba and with Schmidt as a Grad Asst in 2012 and at Minot with Rudolph last year. Both ran the 3-4 so he is familar with it. As I previously said, wouldn't be surprised if Bubba helped out with the secondary as well.

Have been wondering the same thing. Freund was QB coach for 1 year and RB coach for 3 years before that. I agree that Rudolph will likely work with the QB's and they just hired a RB coach. As a former QB he may be able to coach WR's or maybe Rudolph will just help oversee the QB's. Those are the only two spots I can see him staying on at right now.

QB/WR/OL/LB and special teams for sure and possibly another secondary coach if they go with a similar structure as before. The coordinators will likely fill in one or two of those spots with Bubba possibly helping in the secondary (just a guess). Herald reports there will be 9 asst. coaches and so far we know of 5, so 4 more guys plus whoever is on staff to cover the above openings. OC - Rudolph RB/Recruiting - Maurice DC - Schmidt DL - Gigli DB - Rodgers Very much like how the staff is filling out.

50% of the time, he's right 100% of the time. A position coach/recruiting coordinator is a step up the ladder from his previous positions, even if it is at the FCS level. He was a Grad Asst when he was DPP at Purdue. Looks like he has a pretty good background. I think normally you might want a recruiting coordinator with a few more connections to your main recruiting area, but with the ties the HC/OC/DC have, does not seem like it is a must in this situation.

I think their backfield will be a lot more crowded in the next day or two as well.

Well I guess that settles it. No need to play games any more. UND was not real great this year, but pointing at some computer ratings isn't going to convince me that Ferris St would have crushed UND, especially after watching them blow a chance to tie it up against MVFC powerhouse SDSU (who comes in 91st in your rankings). You realize that all computer rankings have major flaws, particularly when you start talking about teams from different divisions?

Ojuri graduates and Crockett will be a senior. Morlock from Moorhead got some playing time this year as a true freshman and I would think would be the #2 next year. Not sure what else they have on the roster, there was big talk of the transfer from VCSU (Anderson) this spring/early fall but don't think he played much. Eji Ejiya from Spring Lake Park has committed to them and I believe is slated as a RB (had an offer from UND).

We actually agree on something. Good luck to Adam in his future, wish it would have worked out better for him here.

New year's resolution?

Wonder if he has any connections with a couple of the HS senior athletes out west? Yanosko from Minot comes to mind.

Also has an official visit scheduled for UofM on Jan 17th, though no scholarship offer as of yet. Also of note, he had some interest from NIU and Tim Polasek (new NDSU OC) was his recruiter, though it does not show he ever got an offer from them. Rivals shows that NDSU had some interest at one point as well. UND and SDSU are his two reported offers.
