  1. Thome with another complete-game shutout yesterday, 5-0. The Sioux split today, winning 16-1 after losing the first game 2-1. The sophomore starters are really starting to come into their own.
  2. Good recap, Bin, though I admittedly don't follow the tennis teams, soccer, or softball.
  3. Agree. Good post.
  4. Thanks for taking the time to pass on your feedback, Teeder.

    Ed Schultz

    Preach it!!
  6. Anyone know why Campbell didn't play in either game today? Not sure about yesterday.
  7. Saunders stealing one for us........so far. 20 long minutes to go. Need to get one to relieve some of the pressure on him.
  8. Add my thanks, too. Outstanding picture. Rocco's a class act; hope he stays for at least two more.
  9. Today, among multiple other times.
  10. Looks like Pecosky's being converted to fullback, according to the roster.
  11. Got it. Didn't realize they'd won the Great West. Thanks.
  12. Guess you don't have to be a .500 team after all to make the tournament (Chicago State 11-21). I think Weber State (26-6) deserved to be in the CBI or maybe even the NIT.
  13. Thanks for the update, Ira; that's good news.
  14. I agree. I think that it would be good from two standpoints: 1. Increased competition for the position. 2. Insurance against one or both freshmen getting injured or not being quite ready yet.
  15. You're right; my bad.
  16. I agree. He's the one responsible for hiring Jones.
  17. Yet another win by the Sioux on the road. Fire Jones. Whoops, only supposed to say that after a loss. .
  18. On the other hand, limiting your opponent to 25 pts. in a half on the road IS a recipe for success . Now, if we can just approach that in the second half....
  19. Sioux won the second game 10-6 to get the sweep.
  20. Really impressed by Huff's hustle. The guy works has tail off all the time. He's always one of our leading rebounders, despite his size. Couldn't believe the sick block he made in the first half last night, where he came out of nowhere to swat away a 3-pt. attempt in the corner.
  21. Agree. I believe that Thome and 3 of the other starting pitchers were freshmen, so if they're all back and continue to develop they could potentially be the strength of this team for the next three years. Thome was awesome the last half of last season. If we landed any strong freshmen recruits, this team could be pretty competitive going forward.
  22. The Sacramento State game tomorrow night is on Fox College Sports Pacific down here in K. C.

On the one hand, with the conference and nickname issues behind us, I think we could attract some pretty strong candidates. On the other hand, this would be a good opportunity to reward Kotelnicki for the excellent job that he's done, providing that he's interested.
