Didn't see that he was dressed, so, for whatever reason, it looks like he wasn't on the travelling team.

Drove over to Manhattan for the game with my brother and a friend. Decent first half overall. The biggest difference in the game was that K State has 3 or 4 bigs (and I mean bigs) that they rotated in and out the entire game and we just don't have the size to compete against a front line with that kind of size and depth. They just kept pounding it inside and Brekke and Wilmer both fouled out fairly early in the second half, which wiped out much chance of keeping the score reasonable. Doubt that anyone in the Big Sky has even close to the kind of frontline size and depth that KState has. Nearly everyone shot poorly but, as someone has already pointed out, the shooting should improve, as we're better shooters than we showed Fri. night. It also didn't help any that K State had already played two exhibition games.

Likewise. I'll be doing my part. We'll stand out like a sore thumb in that sea of purple.

Went to the KU/UND game last season in Lawrence and, as you know, KU DOES have atmosphere, and a lot of it. I can see where it would be very intimidating for visiting teams to play there, as evidenced by the fact that KU seldom loses at home.
-
Looking forward to seeing the game in person. Hopefully, with our experience, we won't be intimidated by the atmosphere and will go in there and stand up to them for 40 minutes. Gotta keep Magruder and Rodriguez from having big games.

Am with you on this one. There are a couple of posters on here whose only solution/reaction after any two-game losing streak in one of our major sports is "fire Muss," "fire Hak," or "fire Jones." The coach's name that goes in the blank just depends upon which season we're in. They've lost all credibility because that's basically the only input that they ever have after a two-game losing streak. And if the team in question happens to go on a winning streak, all we get from them is silence; seldom, if ever, anything positive. Sad.

Looking forward to going, also.

Yeah, displaying the level of success that Hanson has had this season and with the wealth of receivers returning next year, I don't think it would be too difficult to entice another 5th-year dropdown to come in for a year and compete for the starting job on a team that we expect/hope to make the playoffs, depending on the level of improvement in our defense. Also, based on the last couple years, would much prefer a dropdown to a JUCO transfer.

We played excellent football on both sides of the ball the 2nd and 3rd quarters and were the dominant team. Even with the two bad quarters, we still ended up leading in virtually every statistical area (1st downs, total yards, no. of plays, TOP); unfortunately, we also lead in turnovers and that can't happen against teams the calibre of Cal Poly. The two situations that hurt the most were the lost fumble on the third play of the game that otherwise would have given us a first down and, instead, gave Cal Poly a short field and allowed them to jump into an early lead; and allowing the big play immediately after we'd taken the lead in the 4th quarter, which lead shortly thereafter to Cal Poly scoring a TD and retaking the lead. Had we come up with a defensive stop on that possesion, it might have been a different outcome. If's and but's.

It'll be on Big Sky TV (on-line). Quality was much better for me last week for the Sacramento St. game than it was two weeks prior for the Portland St. game.

UND 27 Cal Poly 24 This one will be the nailbiter that a lot of us were expecting last week. Looking for a balanced offense this week and a continuing-to-improve defense. This one may come down to Zeb at the end.
