  1. I agree. Kid looks like he could be a freight train by the time he's a sophomore or junior. Looks like a great get.
  2. Boy, does that kid know how to hit!
  3. Love it.
  4. Thanks. Hope your wife is doing better.
  5. No need to put people down to promote your point of view.
  6. That would be a breath of fresh air.
  7. Really too bad. Thanks.
  8. That puts some good perspective on how long the turnaround process MIGHT take. IF next year is Bubba's first big recruiting class, it would be Bubba Year 4 by the time they're sophomores (assuming they redshirt) and ready to make some kind of an impact. Building, and doing it the right way, takes time. Naturally, we're all hoping for sooner and there are a number of things that could contribute to that, i.e, dropdowns, a few good JuCo.'s and the impact of existing players being coached up. My guess is that we'll be in position to challenge for the playoffs by year 3 or 4. BTW, I think I read that we lost Adams. Was that due to his injury being career-ending or is he transferring?
  9. 5-0. 83-72 Sioux. Final
  10. Thanks for keeping us up-to-date on the recruiting front, Hambone!
  11. Happy New Year to all. Hope the Sioux Men's hockey and BB and Sioux Women's BB get us off to a great start in 2014. Go, Bubba! Hit the recruiting trail hard!!!
  12. Welcome back, Bubba. If anyone can turn this program around, and has the heart to do it, it's you. I'm 100% behind you. I know that you'll recruit quality student-athletes that will represent our University well both on and off the field, and that winning will be a welcome byproduct of the character you and your student-athletes will bring to the program.
  13. Only a two and a half hour trip for me, and I'm hoping to bring several with me.
  14. It PROLONGS the fun (and the wasted work time).
  15. Wouldn't mind getting Bubba at all. His defenses while at UND are almost legendary, he got head coaching experience at UMD, and if you look at his bio on the SIU website, his defenses have ranked in the top three in the MVFC in several categories several times since he's been there. Plus, recruiting-wise, I'm sure he has many contacts in the ND/Minn./Wis. area from his UND/UMD days. I think he'd do a great job.
  16. As I said, "He probably won't even apply."
  17. Not saying it would be a disaster to hire him, I just think it would be best, especially considering the state of the program and the opportunity to get a totally fresh start, to do it without someone that has any kind of a shadow at all hanging over his head. JMO.
  18. Totally agree. We're getting a fresh start now and I don't think we want to hire someone with a cloud hanging over his past. My top 3: 1. Caruso. A proven motivator, winner, and turn-around coach. 2. Bollinger. Not as proven as Caruso, yet, but has the qualities that I think will translate into a Caruso success story going forward. 3. Lennon. He probably won't even apply, but I think he's a high-character guy that always managed to get the most out of his teams and put a winning product on the field.
  19. 71-62 Sioux. 2:36.
  20. Outscored 24-6 so far this half.
  21. Sorry I missed it, but did Schuler not play because of injury?
  22. UND rallies from 23-20 deficit to win 25-23.
