Got bored today and was curious how many late period goals UND has allowed, especially after WMU scored the game tying goal with under a minute to play last weekend. I excluded empty net goals. Here's how I broke it down: Goals against UND with more than 1 minute but less than two minutes: 7 Goals for UND with more than 1 minute but less than two minutes: 3 Goals against UND with less than 1 minute: 2 Goals for UND with less than 1 minute: 6 Goals against UND with less than 2 minutes in the third that either tied or won the game: 2 (both were extra attacker goals... vs Providence 2-2 tie, at Western Mich 3-2 OT win) Goals for UND with less than 2 minutes in the 3rd that either tied or won the game: 2 (both were extra attacker goals... vs Air Force 3-2 OT win, at Omaha 3-2 OT loss)

I'm curious what people attribute for the turnaround in those two games? Certainly, it couldn't have been any adjustments by the coaching staff as we all know Jones has never made an adjustment ever.

Goal judges make mistakes just like regular refs. In most arenas that still have goal judges, just for the heck of it, they are boosters of the school who are given a nice seat to watch the game.

And what if it's a 2nd place finish without a trip to the dance, OOC wins, a signature win, beating both the Griz and Weber state? Is that a failure in your eyes?

Just rewatched the video... Sheldon Dries, #8, ripped off Gaarder's helmet and then you could see him grab towards his face. After the ref breaks them up, Gaarder says to the ref "He ripped my facemask off and poked me in the eye."

Not only can we clinch home ice, we can win the Penrose Cup outright if things fall the right way.

NCHC is taking a look at the scrum during this game. Not sure if there will be any additional punishment but I could see Gaarder getting a game for throwing a punch.

That's on the director and unfortunately it's something they do every broadcast at Miami. If the puck is near the net, they take the tight cam. Often it's a split second before a goal which makes editing highlights a huge pain. Watch the nchc goals of the week video and you'll notice it looks a bit off when Miami scores at home.

Once UNO moves into their on campus arena next year, they could bid for a regional in the CenturyLink center, where they play now.
