That depends on whether we get more than 3 wins this year and NDSU doesn't win a fourth title. I'm not to the point that I think last year was our low point.
-
No question the gap is widening between NDSU and UND and we need to step it up. I agree, it's to the point we've become totally irrelevant to many people when it comes to football. It's actually embarrassing how low we've gotten, and I'm to the point after yesterdays game I HOPE we get 3 wins this year, and I'm not so sure it's possible. Come on.

One thing that has to change is the QB play, Mollberg simply doesn't cut it. Either get Bartles out there or take a long look at pulling Studsrudes shirt. We need to get something going here or this could be our only win, things were just ugly out there yesterday. I really was hoping we were better then we apparently are.

UND 31, RMU 17. We need to dominate coming out of the gate on this one. Show them who's boss and get the W.

^^^ THIS^^^ I really thought the entire North Central Conference should have moved up back in 2002 when it was first proposed. The few schools that couldn't swing it could have dropped out and the rest of us moved on. RT and Kupchella should have had more foresight on this. We fumbled around and tried to make things miserable for the ones that did move and it backfired.
-
I needed to sleep on it before deciding just how bad this team is, and after further review it's as bad as we can get. The offense had nothing and our only TD came against their backups. If things don't get back on track next game against RM this will get super ugly. Not much else to say about it.

I'm going with 38-31 SJSU. I expect a strong showing from the guys and no blowout.
-
It has to be over. I'll give the Bison credit that they have enough wins to make the playoffs and probably get a win there too, and I see us getting nothing less then 5 wins, so it's over.
-
I hope not! I still firmly believe that Bartels is a very capable QB.

Seems like Aeron Carr has been leaving the program since the day he got here last year. It's the point that he may as well go as this constant babbling is a distraction. To paraphrase Yodi, go or don't go, but make up your mind. Carr leaving will hurt, the question is how much and how steps in?
-
Huh, some people are expecting a blowout? I'm thinking that we will probably lose by 7 or less and maybe with a couple of breaks pull off the win. No way should this be a huge loss for us and I'm going to be pissed if we lose by more than 10. SJSU isn't a real powerhouse and we had better be able to stick with them. If we should get run off the field then we need to regroup immediately or it's going to be a long, long season.
-
We have nowhere to go but up. I won't really consider us improved though until we get that FBS win and make the playoffs. Really, 6-6 doesn't cut it for me, and I'm afraid that the best we can be this year. I don't get the total hatred towards NDSU either. I'd say their success has helped our recruiting by bringing attention to the whole region.
-
I just hope getting beat 66-0 won't be an issue either. I'm betting we have a good team but after last year you always steel yourself for the worst.
-
No matter how many show up, the real test comes when we see how many are left at the end of the third quarter. If fans are heading for the exits in droves, this isn't going to end well. People need to understand that football is a four quarter game having a half empty stadium just looks bad all the way around.
-
I think it will all depend on how the team does out at San Jose. If they lay an egg big time, I doubt attendance tops 8000, but if they make a good showing and especially if they pull out a win, then attendance will exceed 10,000 hopefully. First off though, we need to focus on SJSU and show up there. One game at a time and no blow outs. That's my philosophy.
-
I honestly feel we are in line to expect this team to go 6-6 with no blowouts. We need to hang with SDSU simply because they aren't a top dog team.
-
This actually worries me when people start thinking we can only win a conference title or make the playoffs by avoiding the big guys. If we aren't good enough to knock off teams like EWU and UM, we are going to get pounded in the playoffs and probably don't deserve to be there. I'd like to think we can take on all who come. I know you meant well, but we can't be ducking the competition and thinking this will help us.

I really thought Bartles was able to do more with the line he had to work with last year. I'm pulling for him to be our man.

I sorta skimmed the article rather quickly so it's possible I missed it, but I didn't see anything about oil, just natural gas production. I'd have a hard time believing they could find oil that far from the other producing areas, let alone find it at 1600 feet. It does look like there is a good potential for NG, but considering ND is already flaring 1/3 of the gas it produces, why would anyone go looking for more?
-
Doesn't even make sense. The last I heard, Future Schedules really had nothing to do grammatical structure and spelling. Let's stick to football.
-
UND gave him an offer, but I've heard he dissed us on Twitter when someone asked him about it.
-
You Bison don't even know your own smack? If you're going to poke fun at someone, you should at least understand the joke. According the the Bison faithful, it's NOT _nd, it's un_. According to some, we have no D (defense). Unbelievable, I gotta educate the trolls.
-
I still had hope Sparks would improve. He certainly had the potential.
-
I wasn't happy with the recruiting early on because of the lack of commits, however I had been posting since Bubba took over that I thought were capable of 6-6. That was until 9 more players left the program for what ever reason. Like I said, I'm just not sold on transfers, some work, some don't.
-
I've never been excited about bringing in Juco's or transfers. In our case now, we have no other choice, but we are throwing together a bunch of kids who nothing about each other or our program and doing it in a very short period of time. I had high expectations for us for this year, but I am now scaling back. It's really disappointing that so many of these guys didn't work out. These were mostly younger guys who should have been the heart and soul of the team in another year or two. There's really no other choice but limp through a few bad years. I just don't see a magic pill in transfers, sorry.
