I couldn't agree more. Start Bartles against NAU so he gets back into the rythem of things, and keep playing him against UNC and Davis. I really feel Bartles has a shot at beating NC and Davis, which is more than Mollberg will provide. The Mollberg experiment has run it's course and certainly hasn't look successful, so let's move on.

Yes we do, look at the very top. We've got Develyn Ferguson, 6'1”, 175, 4.5, Wauwautosa (West) WI I'm very nervious about not having more by now. National Signing Day is 3 months away and I think the ony reason we got Ferguson was that he had no other offers. Looks like Muss and this losing season are turning recruits off, plus they don't know who the next coach will be.

I'd just be happy if we'd beat an FBS team once, but never fear, that day is approaching. San Jose is going down next year. New coach, new attitude, new results.

I agree fully that Mollberg's day has come and gone. It's time to see what Bartles can do Start him against NAU and UNC One very hard game and one that we have a chance to win, this should show how he copes. Mollberg just doesn't seem to live up to the hype that surrounded him when we picked him up. If nothing else, maybe if Mollberg is forced to watch from the sidelines, he might learn something. He sure hasn't up to this point.

So, they never happened, or they got covered up before the legal system got involved? If it's the first, then the subject should be dropped before rumors get out of hand. If it's the latter, then I think the whole football program has big problems. I'm not a fan of sweeping dirt under the rug.

Wow. Looks like Menard had offeres from 9 schools including the Montana's and all 4 of the Dakota schools. We really need to picking up some of these high profile players, it doesn't seem to be happening.

I see Adam Stiner, Verona, WI is listed on wiki under both O tackle and guard. The height and weight are different, though. Are there two people with the same name at the same HS or is this a mistake in the listing?

One advantage we have on firing Muss this year is our season ends 1 week earlier than most other schools. Now I know some people have said we should get a new guy in here in 2 weeks, but I doubt that will happen, unless God forbid, we hire internally. It will take a week or two just to see who's available and probably longer to go through the app process. Once that's done, you have interviews, background checks, smooze the big money donors. This needs to be done right. I'd rather take a month and get a good guy then rush and get another Muss. Recruiting is going to take a hit anyway this year, so don't rush out and hire the first guy who shows up. Then, give the guy 5 years to straighten this mess out. We didn't get here overnight, and it's not going away overnight. Get a guy with serious HC experience and a proven record. I know, it takes money, but you get what you pay for, and did I mention, don't rush the process just to get a warm body?

Well said. Everyone needs to go, including the O and D coordinators. If anyone is left, it will only be a continuation of the disaster we are looking at now. There can and will be no short term fix, we need to strip everything and start over, "brick by brick". But, I was fully in favor of Muss getting the ax at the bye week, but now with only 4 games left, he might as well stay because nothing is going to change until next year anyway. Fire him the day after the season ends.

I'd have to say with only a little over 3 months until National Signing day, things aren't looking too good considering we have ZERO commits. There haven't been any new offers in ages either, which makes me wonder if Muss is planning a "scorched earth" policy. One that leaves nothing left at all for the new guy.

Since I THINK I'm moving on, I'll go with OD for Saturday. If not, SFB will set me right.

Why does Wiki have the Sac State game and Portland State games turned around? According to Wiki, we're at PSU this weekend. I would have thought this would have been corrected long ago. I'll wait with making a call on the game. I'm still trying to rationalize a UND victory. Maybe if I wait long enough, I'll find a reason to think we can win.

How about working out more in the weight room and adding muscle, which weighs more than fat. BTW, just eating calories adds fat, we want condition.

Hey, I hate to complain, but I picked Rocco on Friday night after the game. I sure do appreciate the work you put into this.

A win is a win, and a loss is still a loss. It's doesn't matter that it was closer than most of us thought it would be. Team still didn't have what it takes. Time for Muss to check out. Nothing there to motivate either the O or the D. Sick of it.
