To me, this 2013-2014 team has been all about underachieving. Tonight is the beginning of their opportunity to prove that wrong. But, it's just the beginning. Anything short of the NCHC tourney championship along with a Frozen Four appearance is unacceptable.
Agree. Witnessed the Saturday game in Denver. He made some great saves...but he can be so solid. Hope he cools down if the Sioux meet the Pios again...
But, where are they in the almighty powerful Sagarin...the king of kings among the Godly ranking of what is important in all of college sporting events.
Let's all bow and pray to the mighty Sagarin...All hail the mighty Sagarin!
Yay!
Massive disappointment today over last night's game. This team just doesn't seem to have that extra spark needed for a run in the NCAA.... The ghost of Herb Brooks should have come into the locker room and reminded them that..if they lose...they'll remember it....for the rest of their #@$# lives.
Oh, well. At least the weather is nice today here in sunny Colorado.
1973...I was trying to remember his name... Archambault...here is a great description of that championship game:

I dig the B tourney too. Loved it when they played in Bismarck. I remember Epping and their run up to the championship with Hillsboro. Although I think the B tourney is much more fun than the A...I will NEVER forget the Fort Yates/Minot championship game. That game was unreal..and the underdog/small school won! Would have won by more if the 3 point shot would have existed then...
Somebody help me out here. Lakes isn't in the ol' hoosegow, is he? If he can just hold out two more weeks... 3/14.. 7:00 pm..
That was too early. I should have chose 11:00 PM. damn! Oh, well. Maybe an early happy hour binge will do the job!
HOWEVER... I keep thinking of the Duluth team a few short years ago... hmmmmm...
Not to say that it would happen, but it would be nice to be in that kind of a position come NCAA playoffs...
That's right. Split into A and AA. So, Roseau on the AA side, EGF on the A side...both Section 8... got it! I forgot. Too many years in Colorado.. and NO, it's not the new pot laws!
Love seeing EGF send their team to the Minnesota State Tourney. They are "kind of" Nodaks entry in St. Paul! Go Greenwave!
I always cheer Section 8 hockey...(Does Section 8 still exist?)
Reverend Dick.
No, I can't make that up. He was a Baptist minister in Devils Lake and spearheaded the campaign to get rid of the name.
Yup. Reverend Dick.
