  1. I'll be paying attention to the Purple Cows of Mankota football team this fall. That soap opera could be interesting.
  2. They have struggled in Greeley. The support and facilities are far behind FU, UND and others that have moved up. I want them to succeed, just because they are nearby and give me a chance to see UND play from time to time. However, their men's basketball team has done fairly well. Football, not so much...
  3. I would have thought that SCSU could have moved up. Their commitment and alumni support is much weaker though.
  4. I did it. Put a HD antenna on the roof I bought through Ebay. I get about 25 channels out of the Denver/Cheyenne market. Netflix, ESPN3, and streaming Sioux games keeps me happy. Not sure how many channels you would get in GF though...
  5. I agree with you on both counts. However, I don't feel we (FU and UND) should have been D-II for so many years. It was cowardly, (not on the athlete's part, but the respective administrations.) IMHO. As far as the Big 5...ouch...there is going to be a lot of jockeying when that happens.
  6. Yeah, but hindsight is 20/20. We probably should focus on what can be done now. However, when discussing D-II glory of past, I just think about the schools that we competed with to win, not to mention the schools that the University of Agriculture and Applied Science competed with for their D-II championships. Good to win, but put it into perspective...
  7. The NCC should have become a D-IAA conference years ago. Imagine the rivalry with the BSC they could have created! What a waste...
  8. Power of North Dakota baseball? That's funny. Both teams are bad. North Dakota is a bad place to field baseball teams. I love baseball, but they should consider dumping the sport for something else. Half the games get cancelled anyway... Although, it does give some criminal fans from the College of Home Economics a good lie about playing varsity sports while peddling airtime in a third rate market for a third rate station...
  9. I got my master's there. Love UW and UND. Never been to Cody. Heard that the place to go is the Silver Dollar there..
  10. Is Iowa State in 2015? I'll be in Laramie for a few games next year. Plus, of course, the UND / Pokes game in 2015.

  12. Well, Bisonwoman does not represent the College of Home Economics at the University of Agriculture and Applied Science very well. Oh, well. I guess that they believe that a home and home with Weber State is more important than one with the flagship university in their own state.
  13. Bisonwoman, I believe that Ogden, Utah is much further away from Fargo than Grand Forks. At least for those of us that can read a map...
  14. Last week, I got a grinder at the Red Pepper in Fargo. Sorely disappointed. It was light on everything..very bland. I'll wait til I get back to the forks location on University...
  15. Isn't it time for him to peddle airtime in a third rate market for a third rate station? Gotta pay those legal fees!
  16. \ Just opened a couple of weekends ago in West Fargo. Right off the interstate at 9th street if I remember right...
  17. Good for the Tide. Who won those at the highest level of competition. That is a true accomplishment.
  18. I didn't realize that Indiana had a huge lead in head-to-head games versus Alabama. I learn something new every day!
  19. The worm has always turned in this rivalry. UND's record over FU speaks for itself. FU blew it. They could have chipped away at that gap the past few years.
  20. I think it's the best thing for the university. Do it ASAP. I'll still wear my Sioux gear..but, as an individual, I can make that choice. (Sorry, Goon. I couldn't resist but change my avatar! LOL)
  21. Oh, I understand. I just think at this point, get a nickname and put this behind us..at some level. It's really a no win situation for the university.
  22. I agree. The only way to diffuse this now is to get a new nickname in a very timely manner. I'll still wear my Sioux gear, but now I believe it's time to get the nickname. The sooner, the better.
  23. Looks like Taylor wants an excuse not to have a game between the two. Short term, the advantage goes to the College of Home Economics at the University of Agriculture and Applied Science. Long term, It just makes FU look bad. Like they needed any help...
